He's been here 12 days and says he'd rather go back to Aleppo than stay in 'miserable' Britain.

My point? In the heading, 'poor' sod had to sell his Rolex to pay for his rooms. We all have to make sacrifices at times in our lives. He seems so grateful that he calls Cardiff 'a miserable place'. Seems he now would prefer a war zone to here.

He's been here 12 days.

He soon learnt how to get publicity for himself.

And he has been arrested.

Perfect qualifications of the doctors we need here ...NOT!

Point understood? Read the article.

Did he? Or did the Daily Mail go looking for an anti-refuge story as it appeals to their right wing readership?

Moaning he can't get work as a doctor.

Yes mate it's a little difficult to verify your qualifications at the moment so would you mind not bhing that we won't let you slice people open in the NHS.

There's something a bit odd about this - why would he claim asylum if he had a German passport? He could just move here.

"He claims officials have refused to return his passport since he arrived at Stansted airport 12 days ago."

Sounds like the authorities aren't sure if his German passport is legitimate or not. If everything was legit they would not seize it.

Three British relatives and a British fiancé, Why is this chancer needing board and lodgings?

Something very strange but resident for 12 days and already costing the UK thousands in police costs???

Had to sell his Rolex to pay for decent hotel rooms, and the food is not above normal?

I think we have a candidate for PHer of the year!!

Quite. Story is bo11ocks. Either he's lying about the passport, he has a fake one or he's actually German. All of which, especially the last one, would probably hold up an asylum application!

Except that's not what he said, but you fell for the journalistic trick hook, line and sinker.

He said a miserable place in Cardiff. That's not the same as calling Cardiff a miserable place.
