Had to sell his Rolex to pay for decent hotel rooms, and the food is not above normal?

I think we have a candidate for PHer of the year!!
Don't forget he had to stay in five star hotels as well. God forbid he makes his money stretch staying in a Premier Inn

Asylum claimants aren't allowed to work. Once asylum has been granted a work permit may be granted.

As an educated bloke he could have found this out before he traveled to the UK and applied.

According to his Facebook account he has gone home. He also claims to be an anonymous activist - perhaps the whole thing was just a publicity stunt.

Seems a bit unlikely that the Facebook location app would mis-spell Heathrow. The whole story is clearly balls, but I'm not sure what the purpose behind it is.

...but if he has a German passport, then he is a German cirizen and cna travel and work anywhere in the EU with no restrictions.

All in all, a very odd story...

If his passport was taken off him when he arrived how has he flown out of the country?

If his German passport was confiscated then surely that would raise a flag on border controls and flag him up at passport checks leaving the country?
