Strange. He didn't raise any such objections when President Obama intervened in our referendum, to threaten us with dire consequences for daring to leave.

Amusingly enough, it now appears to be the hapless Mr Junker at the back of the queue.
He's definitely behind Obama in the boarding queue for Richard Branson's private jet as they are now arriving at Branson's Necker Island retreat for a holiday. Funny how the world works, could be part of his payment for intervening in the Brexit debate. hehe

However just in the interest of fairness I do think it's wrong for Trump to encourage other countries to leave the EU, if he has actually done that as opposed to observations whether that might happen.

That's assuming Trump will talk to him at all.

A fair point. It seems to me though that consumer and household debt is so high that were inflation to spark a rate rise all hell would break loose. There is also the assumption that gouvernments can control inflation. Often they can't. I don't think they have any hope of doing so in this case as the effect on the pound of A50 being triggered (of course, as everybody on here conveniently forgets - this has not happened) is an unknown. Most likely bad, but an unknown. We have yet to really feel the sting of the fall in the pound that we've so far seen. To make out all is rosy, as some posters on here do, is real hostage to fortune stuff. It's like the 'Masque of the Red Death' with Death as inflation.
It's a Pandora's box that Brown created and Osborne inflated and I am happy I am not the person who needs to un-pick it.

An economy completely wedded to consumer spending fuelled by property speculation via cheap money will be the de-facto economic policy until a transition can happen.

It will work, until that point and so there is no political pressure to do anything right now because, what could possibly go wrong?

"Juncker, the president of the European Commission, said he had yet to speak to Trump -- contrary to what the President-elect said earlier this week. Juncker said Trump had confused him with European Council President Donald Tusk.

"Trump spoke to Mr. Tusk and mixed us up," said Juncker, taking a jab at the American billionaire's grasp of his new role. "That's the thing about international politics," he said. "It's all in the detail."

Easy mistake to make though shirley ? Whats the difference ?
(and whay'da'go how to then ingratiate yourself with (The) Trump.)

Gina, you're as retarded as disastrous. Nobody is in la la land - if we aren't able to negotiate a deal, we will walk away. The PM has been quite clear on this.

Also, please don't try and make out talking about Brexit should be encouraged and is patriotic - just this thread has shown us that talking about it attracts repeated accusations of racism.

I'm glad her utterly pointless court case has been won - its achieved fk all and when she realises that she's going to be even more hysterical.

The principle behind this wasn't pointless nor was it to stop Brexit. It was to stop the PM doing whatever the hell she liked to change the lives of people in this country without consulting the people charged to uphold and make laws. A dangerous precedent would have been set and thankfully it's been thwarted. It could have been anything else other than Brexit - the next time you may not have liked what the PM wanted to do.

Still a waste of money though because she should never have assumed she would get away with it.

So what would have happened if the EU had decided to remove these 'rights' without consulting parliament?

Not to stop Brexit? Don't be deluded.

The PM will still achieve brexit - the harder the better. Uncontrolled immigration must cease and she is quite clear it will.

It's irrelevant what she's achieved previously and irrelevant she has "won" this case. Brexit will still happen and increasingly likely without a deal with the EU, or Europe, as you like to say.

If you're happy to be considered as a retard, well, fair enough I guess. You've succeeded.

It's clearly not irrelevant as she won and now parliament has to have a say. They will vote it through sure but that's fine. The case still was won and is being done the right way.

Funny how you don't want the unelected EU controlling your laws but happy for an unelected PM to do it.

1. Court case won. Bravo. Result: Brexit.
2. Court case lost. Oh dear. Result: Brexit

Seems irrelevant to me. The government are equally as stupid, they should never have appealed the high court ruling.

Funny how you don't want our unelected PM controlling our laws, but you're happy for the unelected EU to do so.

It's relevant in the sense that you think that she's a retard when by all possible metrics, she is nothing of the sort, unless you're presuming some sort of insider knowledge of her mental aptitude?

Tell me something - if May remained a remainder after being elected and said she wouldn't leave, would you want the vote to go to parliament who would undoubtedly vote it through or would you accept May's decision seeing as you want her to have absolute discretion?

Your defence of her is touching, but I'm entitled to my perception of you and her as equally retarded. You may question that, but it will only exacerbate my standing on it.
