Two points.

I think I know your profession...but PH privacy rules preclude any details at this time smile

After that, all I will say is, if anyone left regular service and undertook voluntary reserve work with e.g. cadets, as some PHers may well have done, they should recall CEMO, and CEFO too.
I don't think it's a secret I'm in the Army.

I know what CEFO is, just not heard of CEMO.
OK that's as I thought but you're free to comment whereas I had better not under the new rules.

Anyway now you have heard of it smile maybe it's down to that wonderful inter-service variation. I was once in the Royal Air Force and then went VR(T).

Yes I'm familiar with CEFO, I questioned what CEMO was as I've not heard of it.

Perhaps it's a five mile of death thing?

CEFO
1. (n.) Complete Equipment Fighting Order. A set of '58 pattern webbing, comprising belt, ammo pouches, water bottle pouch, kidney pouches and bum roll, but not including the large pack designed to be worn in combat.

2. (n.) A set of laydeez webbing, comprising a (usually black) lacy bra, suspender belt, thong and stockings, also designed to be worn in combat.
2. seems more interesting, from a bystander's point of view.

I'd better be careful on that one when making comparisons!

Pity Clegg was such a lightweight. On the march as well.

There is an alternative definition of CEFO, known as HNFO, use of ladettes, Hen Night Fighting Order, set of webbing comprising black lacy bra, suspender belt, thong, etc etc.

Bugger, just seen beaten to it by a post from ARRSE

There is a fundamental difference between marching and fighting - I dare say you've not done the latter.

For those not in the know regarding the 5 miler comment:

That's why it's important to be careful. As to fundamental difference - NSS.

Was there something fundamentally wrong with the initial light-hearted cadet comment? It seems to have got serious with some implicit chiding going on.

No, its 535i mixing up his CEMO and CEFO. smile

When you read articles in your express about WW2 bombers on the moon, what do you think?

"might be legit?"

You grasp of the EU based on what the express tells you is similarly comedic.

There is no chiding. I'd never heard of CEMO. I use CEFO.

Which doesn't surprise me - the first thing I said in that post so long ago wink was Cadets. It was about VR not regulars. To be fair (to me) I made that clear twice.

Are you looking forward to the 29th? smile

Don't forget your CEMO on the next march! I expect it consists of at least one pouch of tissues laugh

Volunteer Reserve? Just guessing, apart from CCF I've been a confirmed coward my entire life.

Volunteer Reserve. VR(T) has Training in brackets.

After leaving the RAF my VR(T) work was with cadets.

I'm sure the RAF, CCF and VR are all very rewarding careers.

CCF isn't a career, it was marginally better than the alternatives for a Wednesday afternoon when I was a teenager, and I got to learn to fly a glider (if not on my own).
