I don't think you can say 'the people are tired' when more of 'the people' voted for the career politician can you?

I don't think that makes sense.
you are so myopic in your views you need to get out more. Right across the world people are fed up with the modern Politics and people who had not voted for years both here in the Referendum and in the USA because they had something they could Vote for. The only answer you and your ilk have is that they were all thick and racist.
I haven't said anyone was racist.

Some people may be fed up. But not a majority in America.

A majority here were though. It would have been interesting what your view would have been if our system was that after the popular vote, parliament voted to remain anyway.

I personally think it's a strange system in america but that is they system and I respect trump won fair and square. BUT HE WASNT THE MOST POPULAR.

Its not the same thing. You clearly don't understand my point though so I am suggesting you are stupid personally.

Why does that matter, you use it as a weapon in this discussion to back your poisonous and opinionated views.

Poisonous laugh sensitive much? Opinionated? You know a fact isn't an opinion? Did your mother ever tell you 'sticks and stones....'

All I have been doing is stating that trump was less popular. That's a fact. It had no bearing on the election. But it's a fact.

I think you are a bit desperate for this to be some sort of popular uprising against the system. But it factually wasn't in any way.

You mocked Hillary voters asking how trump won

'there must be a reason we lost.....waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa stamp scream stamp'

I merely informed you he won because of the electoral college. I assumed you didn't know - it's a fairy regular pattern with you.

Keep up!
he won because she was unelectable and the typical career politician people are tired of.

Hillary managed to achieve something like 20% fewer votes than Obama won for his re-election. The Republican vote didn't really move at all. Trump didn't win the election, Hillary flat out lost it. One could argue that, maybe, had the Dems put Bernie Sanders in the hot seat, it could have been the blues standing up there today. However, all this is against a backdrop of pretty much a Global step to the right, combined with an increase in nationalism and the desire to reclaim national identities.

As we saw with Brexit (fwiw, I voted remain), the left tends to struggle with the concept that they don't have the monopoly on good ideas.

I say give Trump a chance. He'll be neutered by Confress but, you know what, if he can re-energise American jobs, if he can make their country competitive in the face of globalised manufacturing and offshoring, if he can put more Americans back in work and lift them out of the poverty trap, then bloody good luck to him

I agree she was hugely unpopular (and I think Bernie would have walked it). But she was still more popular than Trump ended up being.

Hey I hope he succeeds. It affects us all. If he manages even a tenth of what he has promised happy days! I really hope he does. He has the power to do a lot. I just think his economic plans are unrealistic given how the world currently operates.

Listening to President Trump's Inaugural speech today, it reminded me of something I saw more than twenty years ago. Even the vocal characteristics are similar.

your an idiot you make rules up that nobody recognises. Our system means we often create a Gov with a poor turn out and a 40-45% of the voting public which actually means about 25-30% of people elect the Government.
The reason Hilary got more Votes is she won areas with big populations but not the Electoral college. She was popular in those areas but not popular enough to win.

"Some people may be fed up. But not a majority in America." Utter, utter nonsense. Everyone is fed up, other than the dead Americans and the illegals that voted for Killary.

OK, daft question time.

I thought US Presidents were sworn in with their left hand on the "Lincoln Bible".

Now pics from today and from Obama's inauguration clearly show two very different books. Can somebody educate me?
