Just wondering if this will cause the £ to rally against the €. Back to pre referendum level.
Do I have any Euroland purchases I could make in the next week or so? ill wind and all that.
This has the possibility of toppling some big Italian banks. We're about to see how good the EU's financial security system is. Do I have any Euroland purchases I could make in the next week or so? ill wind and all that.

Normally you think of "history" being something a long time ago - or things (usually not good) that happen with a bit of a bang.
This seems a bit like tectonic plates shifting. Think we live "in interesting times" to quote the cliché ...

GBPEUR dropped from around 1.31 to 1.16 in the days after Brexit to a low of around 1.11 mid Oct/Early Nov. since then it has been creeping up following good UK data and likelihood of a rate rise, as well as Italy referendum risk. Tonight it has gone up 0.45% to 1.1990 and will soon trade to 1.20. EURUSD has dropped over 1.15% tonight on the news.

I said some time ago a la Brexit.
You're not panicking if you're the first out of the door.
The wheels on the bus, if not fallen off have have some major bearing grouch noises emanating..... The EU mandarins are back in to a corner now. Declared an iron fist to Brexit. Can't soften up. Countries are going to peel away and the strength in numbers, is no longer a strength..
This is not a referendum about EU membership. It is about political reform which has transformed into a vote of confidence in the PM.You're not panicking if you're the first out of the door.

that maybe so. But it's also a step in the direct if Italy either leaving the EU. Or causing so much instability that it puts another nail in the EU coffin. You would have to be naive to think this is not an indication of the EU fundamental issues unravelling

Funny you say that..I'm following a Facebook thread that has hundreds of comments. Predominately the people saying it's not a European thing are the non Italians and the people saying it is about Europe are the Italians. Aparantly in the details of the reforms are 12 new EU bindings that have well and truly been set on fire
