I expect the difference is that you don't actually have to kill a cow to get milk from it - they'd probably not be too bothered if the fivers contained cheese.
I mean, they're being idiots over this, but it isn't inconsistent with serving non-vegan vegetarian food.
Exactly.I mean, they're being idiots over this, but it isn't inconsistent with serving non-vegan vegetarian food.

They are slaughtered, not put out to grass for a bit of a holiday.

Dairy farming involves the creation of calves, many of those are male.

There is such a thing as slaughter-free dairy farming, for ethically pure (and wealthy) vegetarians. Trouble is, keeping all those male cattle alive generates an awful lot of methane. They are slaughtered, not put out to grass for a bit of a holiday.

when do mammals produce milk? After they have conceived. So how do you get your cowsto produce more milk? You knock them up then abort them/ slaughter at birth because you don't need more baby cows. Male or female, they even knock up cows already milking to improve production. That's what a vegan told me once. Seems plausible and should put any self respecting veggie off milk products

Didn't know but plastic banknotes were invented in Australia.
The Reserve Bank of Australia sought out government scientists to develop a banknote that could not be counterfeited. They developed a polymer note with a transparent panel and hologram embedded in the note. The currency, released in 1988, is not only virtually counterfeit proof; it is also waterproof and lasts four times longer than conventional money.
Just posting for interest.

These new plastic notes are fairly disappointing to look at and handle compared to the ''old fashioned'' linen and cotton The Reserve Bank of Australia sought out government scientists to develop a banknote that could not be counterfeited. I quite like them, the coke used to stick to the old ones like nobody's business.[snoopers' charter] I may have done coke in the past, but it was about 25 years ago, please don't put me on a "no-fly" list.[/snoopers' charter]
