Granted he has certainly salted a lot away over the years, but only to nick $11 million on the way out.

Didn't realise The Gambia was quite that bad at the minute.
Sicerely hope the new guy sees the way Botswana has gone, he doesn't have the wildlife for safari really but there is a huge market for rare bird spotters, and the beaches are a good asset as well.
Properly run the tourist industry there could pull them out of negative equity in time.

Flew out with a cargo plane loaded with luxury & £9 million from a country that needs it so badly. fking cheek of it.

Might as well have gone with the suggestion above of just build a brick wall round his compound, then locked the door from the outside & let him rot.

What sort of 'Victory for Gambia' is him having huge amounts of money & luxury thrown at him to walk away from it all scott free!

Really annoyed me that!! bangheadbanghead

Don't worry too much, he's reported to be in Equatorial Guinea, though they haven't confirmed this.
I would imagine he will be contributing heavily to their economy.
