What's the PH thoughts on this one?

Blokes dog gets put in a headlock by Kangaroo, bloke intervenes and the kangaroo gets in his face and gets a smack.

I'm amazed as to how many people on there think it's animal cruelty! That kangaroo was asking for it IMO hehe

The look on his face when the bloke smacks him, like he's saying 'you hit me, you actually fking hit me' rofl

Kangaroos have always been belligerent, exhibitionist pricks.

The bloke ran off after he threw the punch. Wise move, he saw sense imo as the kanga would have kicked the crap out of him. I doubt it even felt his punch.

Roo's are tough bds and love a punch up. Got what it deserved, and it'll be fine, really would have barely felt it.

There seems to be many people who assume all animals are innocent no matter what happens - and that they are not dangerous. Which is often a pile of rubbish.

I saw a video of a man doing magic tricks with a chimp the other day. Most comments were about it being a horrible thing to do to the chimp - which you may or may not agree with. However quite a few people said that humans are horrible and not much worse than a poor innocent animal like a chimp. The thing is it's probably one of the worst animals to say that about considering they do exactly the same as humans in regards to going to war with their own kind etc - so are far from innocent if you try and apply a human emotion to their behavior.

This is what I dont get.

This animal lives in the wild. In Australia. The average DM reader would be dead in about half an hour there.

After the punch the Roo seems to be all dewy eyed looking like its found a new mate more than anything

Probably just as well he didn't encounter this fella:

Apparently a well-known attraction in an Alice Springs zoo - google Roger the kangaroo.

The dog almost certainly started it - a roo is unlikely to actively chase a dog, but is quite capable of killing one that attacks it.

I think people think they're nice cute cuddly things that just wanted to give the doggy a hug.

If they encountered one I reckon they'd think different.

fking love the reaction from the 'roo though.. like proper "WTF just happened?!" laugh
