Quite irresponsible to imply that the officer set out to kill. The lesser charge should stick.

At the end of the day none of us know what the evidence supporting a murder alternative manslaughter charge is. I would like to think that the CPS do not make these decisions lightly. We know that they tend to lower the charging threshold for police officers however.

Still it will all come out in court, as they say.

I hope the officers paid their Fed dues.
