Far as I can see, most seem to be praising his private donations, charitable activities and personality at least as much as his musical talent. Something Kershaw fails to mention.
Hmm.How did he manage to make sure his 'private' donations became public?
Very subtle.

I see this a lot now a complete exaggeration of peoples views. I haven't seen over emotional posters just people reminiscing about their youth and his music and the obvious sadness of his passing. Some lesser known tracks that are sublime:
Like A Baby – Wham

Nothing Looks The Same In the Light – Wham

Maybe just said "please don't tell anyone"How did he manage to make sure his 'private' donations became public?
Very subtle.
Not really doing him any good now is it?
Maybe he was just a nice bloke, slightly fked up.
From the evidence in front of us, that is looking like a good bet.

Other acts are also somewhat difficult to keep quiet. Eg throwing a private concert just for the nursing staff who looked after his dying mother.
Many of his other guestures seem to be spur of the moment donations, so wouldn't have had time to set up an anonymous proxy.

Glad you liked it I thought it was the stand out track on the album. I got the you cant always get what you want bit at the end but didn't realise he had given a co write credit to Jagger. I loved the drum thing as well.techiedave said:

Here we go. Outpouring of grief from people who didn't even know him. Old stars appearing on the news saying how sad it is etc.
I'm sorry, but what makes me sad is kids being bombed and killed in places like Aleppo. Kids getting cancer and the like and dying before they even reach their teenage years.
People like GM have had years of life. Made decisions that have probably fked their health up in their later years.
Why is there an outpouring of grief? Because these people sang a few songs.
Things like this don't make me sad in the slightest. The collective grieving is even worse.
Oh well. He'll sell more records now.
Thats all well and good clarksonman, but you have to understand people were fans of him.I'm sorry, but what makes me sad is kids being bombed and killed in places like Aleppo. Kids getting cancer and the like and dying before they even reach their teenage years.

I was sad Senna died, I still am sad when i think about him or watch 'Senna' film.....by your logic all Senna did was drive round in circles few times.
Can't you accept people have things they are fans of, i'd wager there is something you follow, or some person your a fan of.. If Clarkson or Farage dies i bet you'd be upset?
Well, there's certainly been some mixed views on here. Thought he was a fantastic singer (I think even the members of Queen said he was the only one who they could envisage replacing Freddie after the FM Concert), under-rated songwriter, great entertainer and always seemed a genuinely nice guy in interviews.
So, sorry George for bringing it up, but this did make me smile when I found it by accident today...

It seems that they have only been revealed after his death. That *is* private.
You seem to have a misunderstanding of the meaning of the words "private" and "public".But hey ho, in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really matter.
