I mentioned his version of Let Her Down Easy, nary a dry eye in the house after we watched it especially as both couples have young daughters. Stunning voice...

I'm not a big fan of Georges work but that is stunning version of an amazing song which had got lost in the fog that was TTD's career.

Cheers for sharing that. thumbup
I should have prefaced it with "DO NOT WATCH WHEN FEELING SLIGHTLY EMOTIONAL!", glad you enjoyed it though. Was never what you would call a TTD fan though my older sister liked him and I thought he was a good, but GM's version blows his out of the water IMHO, which is a rare thing indeed.

The type of person sumarilly dismissed by many PHers.
I know what you mean Eric.
There's a certain element that likes a stiff upper lip, that sees sensitivity or compassion as a weakness, with this they make themselves most conspicuous. However you must admit that a fair few people have stuck up for GM on this thread. Also it's been evident that when PHers have actually asked for support with their issues there has never been a shortage of PHers wishing them well and offering assistance when it's needed.

Great uplifting little story that leaves me angry at the end when it mentions George, Freddie and David, if you know what I mean!

Sadly, not enough. The vast majority are massive cocks.
It needs neither numbers nor advanced years, as in so many other subjects, just mature thoughtful expression will prevail.

With such a sweeping statement, one wonders what camp you see yourself in? !

This death sits slightly uneasy with me. At Christmas / Christmas Eve, the fact this guy was alone when he has a partner, and no doubt a large entourage of friends and acquaintances, seems wrong. And did I read that the partner spent this night of Xmas Eve in his car? Again, if true, it adds an extra sadness to what is already a very sad incident.

An unusually public place for a star to live!
That's the "tradesmans' entrance", the main facade was on the river.

It's a really lovely house.
You should see his house in Highgate!

The flowers outside are now piled higher and than in this photo and his Range Rover is still parked outside, covered in them.

Nice too see all that, I thought he was still serving a driving ban?

If so then this possibly explains why it's been parked there?!

Smoked one out almost immediately!
Why don't we actually analyse what you posted, sunshine?
The "Vast Majority" ie not just 51% of the hundreds of thousands of PHers are in your view "massive cocks" but considerably more than that! That despite there being a few vaguely negative posts on this thread, that disagree with your supposed beliefs?
Why don't you do the "vast majority" of PH a favour and do one off to somewhere a little more your style, because one wonders what precisely you wish to achieve by branding the "vast majority" of PH'ers in this way, apart from trying to troll and rile people, which it should be pointed out (since it is so long since you joined up and actually read them), is against forum rules.

You see, I reckon that the vast majority will see your sweeping statement for what it is, the emotional claptrap of someone who is probably old enough to know better.

Door's over there, the "Vast Majority" urge you to feel free to use it......

It's nice TO see that.

I've decided to start 2017 not being judgemental but educational, so please accept this as a helpful hint.

I really think GM lived where he felt comfortable rather than where others think he should. With his wealth he could have lived anywhere and remote but chose to be part of a community. I think I'd be exactly the same.

Hew was popular locally, because, although he kept to himself, he decorated the trees on the green in the Grove. One of his close neighbours is Kate Moss. She is rather less popular.

Just listened to Jesus To A Child. It's a mourning song in some ways but really beautiful too. Quite a few of his songs seem to be dedicated to people he has loved and lost in his life.

I've never heard Mother's Pride before, a very emotional song about war.

Just a point about someone who mentioned his partner (not) posting on twitter from Malaysia. KLA is the Malaysian stopover for flights to and from Australia. He was Australian, Lebanese Australian. Just saying

Drove past his Goring pad yesterday I've never seen so many flowers - the whole length of the enterencd wall and its LOnG and so so many layers deep.
