I would put people off buying at that crazy price - but then some listen without prejudice.....

But people pay a fortune for a lump of turf form old football grounds when they move or redevelop.

What's the difference?
This car was owned by a legend - if you are a fan or a speculator then who knows it could be ideal for you. If you are neither then buy Any of the normal used ones for a few bags of sand.

Wow, people are that interested. Bonkers.
Isn't it the strangest thing?

Saw the Brits the other night, a very touching tribute, however Chris Martin highlighted just how flawless George Michael's vocals were...........

I know this is slightly different but many many years ago I used to watch X factor... anyway one year a kid boy got to the finals who appeared to sing very well on TV. One week he was teamed up with George Michael.. well the kid started off and it sounded superb .... then George came in wow and then the duet. Wow GM was stunning basically shows you the difference between an average wannabe singer to at the cutting edge of world class.

I don't think in Rock or Pop there have been two better male singers than George Michael and Freddie Mercury

That kid actually won the whole thing - sounded terrible in comparison to GM.

That's smashing it out of the park what a singer.
Amazing it's over 3 months ago now since his passing and still no funeral nor conclusion of how he died.

I saw that, it was good. I don't think it covers his entire career though, having been compiled a number of years ago. I would like to see if the documentary that GM was working on will ever see the light.

Re Welshbeef comment of the two best male vocalists, Freddie Mercury and George Michael, so true! Who do we have left who can belt out a tune AND sing something subtle and from the heart?

What will happen first? George’s funeral or the sale of his Range Rover? Place your bets.

It's a bold statement, and one that I think is impossible to answer due to different styles. But Rolling Stone's top 100 doesn't even feature George Michael and Mercury comes in at 17th

George Michael, who was found dead at his home on Christmas Day, died of natural causes, a coroner has announced.
In a statement, Darren Salter, senior coroner for Oxfordshire, west of London, said
As there is a confirmed natural cause of death, being dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver, the investigation is being discontinued and there is no need for an inquest or any further enquiries.

Hopefully now his family can hold a funeral and start to attempt to wind up this sorry chapter.

George Michael wrote and produced music and sang songs across the genres of pop, dance, jazz and rock. He sang well in a stadium, he sang well live on TV, he sang well with an orchestral backdrop in Paris. He covered other artists' work and, to some, improved upon the original. Examples are Wild Is The Wind and Going To A Town.... He played his own instruments too. I think he was quite versatile in that respect, but the Wham connotations (X-factor, boy band type origins) perhaps made some blinkered to his talent.

The Rolling Stone article that doesn't even mention him, I cannot think that snobbery and politics don't have something to do with that.

ETA, but yes I get your point, Paul Rodgers is very, very good!
