You must be a better reader than me?
Glad it's not me. I've just looked back and can't find anything about his sexuality.

Just because you know that when you die, no one will bat an eyelid, there's no need to be so bitter about people being sad about the death of someone whose life actually made a positive impact on millions. He was very talented, and you're not. Get over it.

Not a huge fan myself, but he wrote Careless Whisper when he was 12, which is in itself pretty remarkable. A friend of mine worked with him a few times and always said what a nice guy he was. I real shame he has died so young, and sad for his millions of fans.

That's me told.

Ooh, nobody will batter end eye lid when you die Funky. Oooh. Who gives a st? My daughter will miss me. Beyond that, I don't care.

Just because I don't join the sheep mentality of pouring emotion for someone I didn't know. And just because I dare to voice my opinion that differs to some. hehe

Do you know what is really weird? The headlines announced GM dying, then the queen being ill, then 92 people dying in an aeroplane crash. That's 92 families directly affected, yet the death of one singer outtrumps all of that. I don't see them rolling interviews about anyone who died on that aircraft.

As for saying he was talented. That is very subjective. I couldn't care for his music. There are people in this world who do a hell of a lot more special things, yet their deaths slip by unnoticed.

How st is that. I always hoped, as I did for MJ, George would live to be a grizzled old man and perform some awesome songs in his old age like Johnny Cash did. RIP George!

Top drawer virtue signalling.

Are we allowed to be sad about kids in Aleppo, kids with cancer *and* about George Michael's untimely death or are we only allowed to choose one?

Wasn't really a fan of his, however, agree about him being so young.

Also, there are some real special people who like to make their pointless point.

People care about George Michael because though a mere singer, he affected many lives by being a prominent part of the culture. Though music is subjective, it is objective fact that he was popular. It's sad 92 people died on a plane but I really don't care to know their life stories because as people they are not of any personal significance to me.TBH the news outlets are quite right to provide coverage of something that interests their audience and not bend over backwards trying to cater to your probably very specific definitions of what is 'worthy'.

Very sad. On the 25 tour I had 3 generations of my family in Earl's Court, all were mesmerised by his performance and voice.

There was a fair bit of "pop" style music, and the audience were jumping around and singing along. Then he started to sing "the first time ever I saw your face", and the audience was absolutely silent, you could have heard a pin drop in the spaces between his voice, perfect tune, perfect timing and as clear as a bell. It may have been some of the champers that we had, but at that point, that was the first time I was moved to tears in a concert such was the power of the performance and the audience reaction to it. Simply stunning.

A beautiful voice and some truly lovely songs. Sad to think there will be no more.

RIP George. Thanks for many memories, especially that one. frown

I knew I recognised your username. You got banned from a thread for having an opinion on something others believed in. hehe

I can see why you are bitter. hehe

Here we go. Outpouring of grief from people who didn't even know him. Old stars appearing on the news saying how sad it is etc.

People like GM have had years of life. Made decisions that have probably fked their health up in their later years.

Why is there an outpouring of grief? Because these people sang a few songs.

Things like this don't make me sad in the slightest. The collective grieving is even worse.

Oh well. He'll sell more records now.

Pointless point. hehe

Everyone is entitled to an opinion. Twig said that when he moaned about being banned for having an opinion.

Quite liked his music, and it's a shame he's gone. The grief Police getting upset because some posters don't get emotional over GM's passing should remember there's no such thing as correct behaviour when someone dies, celebrity or not.

It's twenty years since his last solo single number one. He'll be number one next week.

It's the best career move he's ever made.
