I see what you did there.

On another note, it's a little bizarre that these witnesses have not been tracked down/come forward yet.

Is there, um, er a way to see her profile without having to sign up?

So why did she decide to get pregnant with him?

What a lovely thing for that particular child to find out later in life.

This whole case is absolutely crackers.
Why his mum deems it appropriate to delete, edit and otherwise mess with his social media accounts I'll never know. I wonder how on earth she even got into them all.

It's always happened that children may not have the father that's brought them up but no-one ever knew. With everything up front on social media, everyone knows.
Is it a game of russian roulette on those sites? Whoever you get pregnant with is the one who foots the maintenance - so long as everyone knows

Oh I assumed he lived away permanently and the police would have taken anything that could contain clues. But makes sense if she was allowed it. Absolutely ridiculous to be deleting accounts though and potential leads, imho.

Police Scotland family liaison officer to be specific. But surely even if you're a copper you shouldn't be cocking about with evidence? I find it all very very odd.

With all due respect, I don't think a family liaison officer is likely to be a deductive genius. Deleting profiles etc that could potentially contain useful info seems so so counter productive to me.

'Deleting' from social media accounts will just prevent other users seeing it, it'll all still be there on the back-end databases for the authorities to see.

Where are you getting this from? Are you jumping to conclusion that because they are swingers then she might be pregnant by someone other than the missing lad? What makes you say this?

I'm interpreting it that neither of them made a conscious decision for her to get pregnant - the proverbial 'accident'.

He apparently didn't know she was pregnant, so she says. What if that's a porkie? He decides he doesn't want 18yrs of CSA aggro - goes out on one massive last bender with his mates, bins the phone and disappears out of shot of CCTV.

ETA: having been on the lash in a town centre many times, my initial reaction on watching the 'Horseshoe entry CCTV' was that he was busting for a slash and went for one behind the bins. The look up/down the street would point to that, it's like he's checking if he is going to be seen, but his movements are hardly purposeful, as I would do if I was striding in for a sneaky slash before anyone saw me. Be interesting to know if he'd arranged to meet someone there.

Doesnt say much

It sounds as though theyre tackling it the same way as roadworks
get a couple of guys on the job cone off the motorway for months
instead of getting as many people on the job and sorting it in a few days

the first few days after disappearance are vital, the chance of solving diminish everyday afterwards,. the police f up, dating websites etc being release are just to hide this.

Shame they didn't do that in the Mcann case. All local bins went to the landfill within 24 hours if I remember right, but they've never searched the landfill.

I don't know if this is an error in reporting, but the BBC report says they are searching the waste site in Milton, Cambridgeshire. That is not the same site as the one at Barton Mills in Suffolk that matched the pings from his mobile phone.
