UKIP have pissed this by-election away - even if they did absolutely no campaigning whatsoever and Nuttall flew to the other side of the planet for a month they would be in a better position than they are now.
I would be surprised if Nuttall does not voluntarily resign as leader in the event of him losing. hyphen said:

Is not the point, that everyone is swerving, that politics as a whole is completely fcked. Nuttall vs Snell, really? I might piss on them if they were on fire solely to avoid a needless casualty. Likewise H.R.Clinton vs Donald J Trump; seriously you have a population of getting on for 350 million and those knobs are the best you can find?
Fck Me.
that sums up politics/politicians globally for me.unlike you ,i would not piss on any of them should they come to be on fire.Fck Me.
Why does the labour party call itself the labour party? During a series of interviews in the area aimed at determining public opinion, several of the people who were asked how they were going to vote, came out with the same old chestnut, I am going to vote labour because I work for a living.
Well it may surprise them, that millions of people in the UK also work for a living, but that does not mean that they vote labour.
Has the labour party adopted the name labour in the hope that those in society, who are not too bright, will automatically vote labour simply because they happen to work for a living?
Doesn't matter if a person is the one sweeping the shop floor, or the person in the boardroom who directs a company, they both have to work for a living.
At what point does one cease to be a worker, and more likely to vote for the labour party, or a director, and more likely to vote for the tories?
Should the labour party look for a new name which more accurately describes who they stand for, and if so what might that name be?

If it's going to be that ever so nice Messiah Tony Blair replacing Corbyn then I assume it can only be the New, Even Newer, New Labour Party.Well it may surprise them, that millions of people in the UK also work for a living, but that does not mean that they vote labour.

Nuttall gaffs continue, on the radio today he said he 'condoned' Aaron Bank's Hillsborough comments. When asked if he meant condemn rather than condone, he replied "yes sorry, I meant condemn what he said"

On the plus side, he said he spent 3 hours with the police yesterday giving witness statements over Hillsborough, better late then never! So it appears he was there.

I doubt he was there. Does this mean he could be wasting police time or perverting the course of justice?Edited by hyphen on Tuesday 21st February 10:30
Did he mention the support from Bolton - http://www.itv.com/news/2017-02-19/ukip-mocked-for...

If he's talking to them he's not talking to anybody else, sounds like a fair use of tax payer money to me.http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news...

The lack of quality candidates in this by-election and the stupidity of the main two will probably result in poor turn out of voters. I Think it will be close, but think Labour will edge.
I reckon Labour will edge in COpeland as well, I reckon the NHS will have a greater pull than Sellafield.Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
