Still wouldn't be surprised if UKIP won, they do have rather low standards.
Keeping the NHS free at point of delivery and scrapping NHS PFI initiative's?

I meant UKIP voters.
Thankyouverymuch for that insight however the issue isn't UKIP voters. It is enlightening that May has copied the UKIP manifesto in a bid to ward off the inevitable, however it remains to be seen if she will be successful.
Never liked Nuttal and his attitude to the rest of the UK outside of England however he would still get my vote if only to stop May getting too bloody smug.

I'm still calling a Labour hold on this one, has anybody changed how they voted/predicted since the thread started up?

I'm inclined to agree with you but it feels similar to expectations about how the EU referendum would turn out on voting day.

The 'right' answer - and in this instance, there most certainly is a correct answer - is to not vote that oaf into office. The people of Stoke will be rightly vilified and ridiculed if the decide to have that moron as their parliamentary representative.

It's a tough choice though, isn't it. Labour oaf, or UKIP Walter Mitty..

Beetroot and blueberries are also important.

So, when are we expecting to know more?

I'm actually hoping Nuttall will win, as if he doesn't I'm afraid UKIP will just fade away.

I'm surprised to hear you, of all people, saying that.

Do you like them for amusement value, or do you actually think one of the 'promises' they're delivering on is keeping other parties honest and throwing light onto established laziness and duplicity?

It's OK being even handed with reds and blues, but broccoli - don't forget broccoli. The humble garden pea is also very worthy.

Interesting times. The area being so pro-Brexit last time is only going to encourage the anti-brexits to get out and vote a hell of a lot more than they did last time...
Possibly so, then again Blair tipping in recently may have tipped it towards UKIP.

Not quite; biased politicians / the expertariat / pollsters / media hacks may have predicted a Remain win but I thought there were quite a few punters who made good money on Leave, as happened with the Cameron majority.

I'm surprised to type that as well. Purely for comedy value. I think Nuttall has great potential to deliver on that front. At the moment he's not a patch on Farage, but with time, I hope he can evolve into something that will deliver time after time. To keep other parties honest, and I do see where you are coming from (ie someone is needed to keep both Con and Lab in check), they would need to have a whiff of respectability. My English will probably get better of me here, but I think that they pissed that one up the garden wall.

ETA: Both main candidates (Lab & UKIP if I understood this right, didn't pay that much attention) are the same choice as 'merikens had. Two terrible candidates.

UKIP 9/4 Labour 8/15 think it might be tighter than some think. Once again it shows the lack of quality people have to select an MP from.

What are the Conservative and Unionist Party odds?

Bit late for a bet but with all the UKIP bad press and Labour under Corbyn being useless I fancy the Government to sneak one in

I'm afraid I voted for Labour, as the thoughts of UKIP was all too much.
