Our streets and roads show grey, black, white and sometimes dark blue cars. The occasional red Alfa or yellow Saab aside colour seems to be a forgotten design element. A shame really because there are so many gorgeous colours and each has a perfect fit for a particular car design. I understand folks hate to loose a pound or two when they sell their wheels... IMO sustainability is keeping your stuff until it breaks. Anyways, let's throw in cars dressed in 'forgotten colours'.

Let's kick of:

How achingly pretty does this blue make the boxy Beta?

And what about this one:

Apart from the hideous design elements this is a C you will never forget.

I often bump into a yellow S1 MX-5 for sale and I don't mind:

Over to you guys.

Whilst it's not a colour that massively stands out it is a colour that I think is very different and looks great.

Red is not a common colour these days :

It's a respray, but similar to the original Toyota red.

I used to see quite a lot of red MR2s and I remember a period review where the Toyota got mistaken for a Ferrari!

I think this colour suits the later model very well:

I just looked across the road at the cars parked by students at a nearby college:

2 x red
1 x blue (one of ours)
2 x black
2 x white
1 x silver
1 x grey

They change throughout the day but I'd say that's a typical colour selection.

Just had to change my Rebel Blue Volvo for a much duller dark blue Audi sleep

Great colour but I think you can now only get it on the official Polestar cars:

That blue found on the polestar volvos is about the best of them. I wanted it on my xc60 but sadly wasnt available. Ended up with dark grey.

I also seriously considered a new Ford edge in the launch colour orange

And also that purple found on early fiestas.

Not so much yesterday as mid-morning - these factory colours always gave me the fizz though:

Laguna Seca blue

Imola yellow

Merlin purple
