Something something lowest common denominator something.
yes Plus something a bout a freak show.
And yet, like people buying the Sun and starting at the back page, they are actually getting what they are paying for. Or not paying for, in the case of the Sidebar of Shame.

Those buying "broadsheets" for quality news reporting are either delusional or just signalling to others their own assumed superiority.

Makes me laugh.

There's no denying that tabloids and broadsheets have very different target markets, the tabloids just happen to have a larger market.

Ffs that was a typo! Cc can be accused of a lot of things, but there's no way that's on the list.

Thee original was a typo on "for once".

Dunno about that they (the broadsheets) seem to have more content and much longer words in the articles. Plus for many of us the only newspapers offered for free by our employers are august publications like the FT.

edit to add: 'remember when I promised to read you last DM? I lied' biggrin

But they're certainly not alone in reporting what people post to social media as "news", so I'm genuinely curious as to what the general problem is that people have with it as a newspaper?
It's unashamedly right wing.

I'd say that the issue is more that it's intention is to get people angry. Even as a lefty, I don't have a problem with it being right wing.

I find peoples use of the word snowflake infinitely more irritating than anything the DM has ever written.

Christ that words bloody everywhere at the moment.
Agreed. More and more people jump on the wagon, widening its use until it becomes nothing but a noise as they saturate any impact or focus the word ever had in the first place.
Like the left have done with their endless cries of "racism" then?
Ironically, you've done the same with the word 'left'. A catch-all generalisation of a word which covers a wide political spectrum.
This is what happens when you give children words!
