Most of the people who go to squat raves are not even from the area they are being held in. But hey lets blame the locals

Yep lets, being as it happened there I'm sure there were plenty of locals present.

The illegal raves tend to get of control quickly. The senior officers are worried about deaths of youngsters again after overdosing i believe there was a fair bit of flack flying around last year after one such rave resulted in a death.
Back to the original clip.
Central london boroughs have massive problems with kids on bikes snatching phones and bags and running drugs.
So a kid on a bike is fair game as they say.
As there were several officers present, they were probably on a tasking just to try and prevent and disrupt the phone gangs.
As has been seen in other clips the locals are not normally too happy at people being stopped and will treat it as a bit of sport attacking officers or enabling escape hence creating a sterile area around the kid.

All I can think when I see stuff like this is one day you will go running and crying to police yourself. I just hope everyone around at the time is just like you and doesn't help the police to help you.
Why would I do that? If I get robbed / burgled / attacked etc I already know that the police response be that they don't have the resources to assist me. Clearly there's still too many of them fitting people up in courtrooms.

The police are the last people I would turn to for help. I have many stories from the past to back this position up. As I said, not all of them are corrupt, not even the majority of them, but I have no way of knowing who is going to deal with my case so it's safer not to bother.

The house opposite me was burgled last year, the police came to my door, I didn't answer. I have no way of knowing they weren't planning to arrest me and fit me up for the crime. This might sound silly and dramatic but following my experiences with them - which includes them perjuring themselves in court - I do not trust them one iota and that's the way it's going to stay.

I take it you are talking about the illegal rave here?

Posting meaningless"truisms" is not really addressing any of the issues being discussed.

The guy filming the "incident" is doing his best to worsen relations with the police.

I recall the vast majority of young black stab victims are stabbed by black people, and carrying knives themselves.

Any effort s to reduce possession can only be viewed as an attempt to save black lives.

Note: this comment is in response to the wider stop and search criticisms on here, rather than the video in the opening post.

Of course it's 'safer not to bother'. The country will miss the support of such a rational, objective commentator like yourself.

Not sure if this is true, but a friend who lives in London says the cops stopped him for riding either a red light or cycling the wrong way down the road. However, apparently he was also wearing a face mask and there were tensions between some schoolkids and rumours about someone might be knifed.
Puts a different perspective on it, but then it's London.
Quite possibly. Who knows what other information was relevant? Certainly not those making judgements on here.

Except when it comes to potentially planning to stop someone being stop and searched, escaping, planning to prevent anyone else interfering with the stop and search and the other variables and unknowns of this topic.

I don't have much faith you'll be able to see the double standards.

So officers being punched in the face and burnt with cigarettes is down to bad planning?

If they are worried about teenagers taking drugs they should confiscate them.... oh wait they're too busy stopping 11 years olds.

It's people on mopeds stealing phones mostly but the police don't even bother with them for some reason. A tiny percentage of kids run drugs so it's fair game to stop all kids for no reason sorry I mean because they had "intelligence"?

Switch on will you, our paranoid friend was referring the the illegal rave. I was replying to that post not claiming the kid in the stop search burnt anyone at all.
