Four of the past 5 US presidents have served 8-year terms.

Trump is quite old, and the post takes a major physical and mental toll, so it remains to be seen whether he can hack the pace beyond 1 term.

If he brings jobs back to the US and increases wages he will serve a second term. People will turn a blind eye to his messups if money in the pocket increases. If he manages to keep bombs in storage and improves Obama care well that's a bigger bonus.


It will be comedy if/when they announce he's got a second term.

if he can do that he fully deserves a second term. However, based on the way he campaigned her will simply lie, lie, and then lie some more until people get bored and wander off. As long as he keeps picking on mexicans and muslims that will be enough for a big chunk of the US electorate.

With so many nutters out there - especially in the US.. - I'd have thought he would be 'taken out' (ahem) by one of them. Christ, I wouldn't be surprised if the CIA do!

He seems to be entering his first term with a low approval rating and the security services and large sections of the media against him. He's just laid into the entire Washington establishment in his inauguration speech. Anything could happen really,

Then the stress of the job, along with declining approval as his supporters realise he can't/won't do all the things he said he would means my money is on ill health cutting short his first term. That is if he's not impeached by then.
