Dunno but Paddy Power is offering 4:1 odds on Trumpton being impeached within 6 months. That's if he "lasts" that long wink

I am thinking about putting some money on this, it all seems to be going to utter rat st already, the whole administration is obsessed by the media and unable to take any criticism. I reckon 12 months.

I'll be gobsmacked if he competes a full term....

He'll either make a massive political balls-up and create a full on diplomatic confrontation with another country or multiple countries that will severely impact the USA or insert any other major f**k up and they will impeach him..... or some internal loon will take a pot shot at him (or the CIA will do it!)

If I was him, I'd be refusing any official trips to Dallas......

Maybe Google the lyrics to Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner for a clue?

Sinking TPP, I think, was a Trump idea- I'm not sure that the Repubs had a problem with it, though I'm happy to be corrected. I can't imagine the Bush II admin having a problem with it.

The anti-abortion thing is pretty standard Republican fare as is the hiring freeze and promises of red tape/tax slashing. I'm sure that would have happened anyway. Compared to what Cruz would have done it's positively timid!

I should have specified what I was referring to, as it looks like Trump is generating more than one news story a day. smile

I was referring to the speech to the CIA where he suggested going back into Iraq to finish off the job of stealing their oil which was initially met with laughter as they thought it was some sick joke, and then by the end of the speech there was open-mouthed silence as they realised he was possibly serious.

Your fantasy description aside, this is more or less exactly what we do when we subvert and overthrow governments around the world. I wonder what your thoughts are on that, particularly as these actions are the bread and butter of the neolib (Clinton, for example) and PNAC hawks' (Hadley, Kristol, Rumsfeld, etc) foreign policy.

Trump was against the war itself, but felt we should have kept control of the oil -- meaning the entire endeavor was for nothing. In that sense, he is right, as we went to war for oil in the first place.

And one last point, since snowflake logic is befuddling. Do you recall which side of the political spectrum was rabidly anti-TPP? I do, it was the left. Being that I am a lefty, I am pretty happy about the result. Any snowflake care to explain the reverse course?

Really? I thought it was because Saddam had WMDs, and the US had incontrovertible evidence for this. Or maybe it was for regime change, to bring democracy to Iraq. Look how happy they are there now, after American intervention.

Snowflake? Meaning delicate, thin skinned and emotionally tender. A bit like your thin skinned, orange skinned, ridiculous false comb over haired president, who tweets embarrassingly stupid tweets to every perceived slight to his character, as his character is so weak that he cannot accept any criticism?

Not a hope. The Democrats will be planning even now to get Mrs Obama to run in 2020 and it doesn't matter if you like or her likely policies, if she does stand she will utterly destroy Trump. And that's even if he is a good president.

Must admit that I voted for one term on this poll but judging by his performance so far beginning to think that might be a little optimistic. The phrase "total shambles" springs to mind.

The question was about the left's anti-TPP stance. Are you pro-TPP now that Trump is president? If you are a snowflake, please explain the logic. This lefty is confused.

Actually that isn't the question at all. The question is why you and others would choose to label others as delicate and emotionally weak whilst supporting a man who has the emotional maturity of a hormonal teenager and gets upset about the slightest negative remark? Using silly terms like lefty etc is pretty meaningless and is the resort if someone with no real substance behind an argument and hence needs to embellish it with a goading insult. Perhaps pulling yourself upwards a bit might enable rational discussion.

Wouldn’t it be great to be able to have a political discussion without people needing to throw words like snowflake around ...

I’ve gone for one term - I think he’ll not be able to do most of the stuff he said on the campaign trail and will get bored with the whole thing.

My 'fantasy description' was based on reports from several news sources, but I'm sure you're not going to let facts sway your opinion, just like Trump doesn't.

No I'm not pro TPP and never have been as it would be a way for your awful American health insurance companies to eviscerate the NHS and apply your inefficient and poor healthcare to be foisted upon us. It'll be interesting though to see if China takes the US place in the TPP group as suggested by Australia.

Now can you answer a question?

Any thoughts on the questions I posed? TPP? You are against it now?
I have never expressed an opinion or preference on it, so your question is moot.

Look, I get that you have strong beliefs but why don't you try to be a little less belligerent and mocking in your replies?
