About 20 firefighters helped release the woman, who was treated for non life-threatening injuries. A second woman was treated for minor injuries. Both were taken to hospital.

Looks like an early 911.

If they had learned anything from Gone in 60 Seconds they would know they were supposed to drive out through the window, not in!

20 firefighters helped to release the driver? From the pic it looks like it barely broke the glass window! What did the other 19 do after one of them opened the car door.

20 firefighters were on hand to eat as many bacon sarnies as the cafe owner could provide is probably more accurate.

That does look a viciously sharp bend for an early 911 to tackle, on what was probably a damp road, without oversteering into the scenery.

I remember someone doing exactly the same thing at the hairdresser next door! What is it with those parking spaces?

Perhaps she was fit?

On a side note, how does one crash into a cafe on a straight road in what I would presume to be a manual Porsche, so not a doddery old fool automatic foot slip accident while parking. Phone distraction, make-up, avoiding a herd of Wildebeest?

"The driver stopped at the scene".

So not a drive-through then.

Interested why you think it's a 912,
Was there another new item.

Early 911s are much easier to crashbiggrin (due to the fuel shut solenoid)

I was in Neros at the time, thankfully in the loo, having been sitting outside 45 secs earlier. Car was a triptronic, appears she was parking in the diagonal bay and hit the wrong peddle.

See the thread that was running on it at the time.
