First thing I do when I see one of these DM weather stories is go to the BBC weather site and correlate the results. Rarely the same. hehe
Mail always right, then?

Your fish will die unless you put a football in their water. I saw that on Blue Peter once and their tortoise never froze over.

Meanwhile in California...

Levels at the Oroville damn are rising rapidly due to very heavy rain, but the spillway has been damaged

Managers are being forced to use it anyway to avoid water flowing over the emergency spillway, causing even more damage and erosion.

We had three minutes of desperately light snow this afternoon, West Midlands. Roads are jammed, supermarket shelves are empty....

...more of the same promised tonight and tomorrow. Oh lord, deliver us from evil...

Head North where the weather doesn't really matter.

I've just had to walk home from the pub in near sub-zero temperatures, dodging snowflakes.

It was 'orrible, make no mistake

That's terrible. TERRIBLE. Biggly terrible. Before Trump you'd expect a good old fashioned lock-in - like The Winchester.

Getting worse here (just north of London where I strongly expect the Thames will have frozen over). After a week of occasional sleet, it looks like proper snowflakes raining down.... I counted MORE THAN THREE!!!
