I'd guess the ford is "Zephyr"; lots of VW's are wind names, but I'll go for "Scirocco".
Or Passat maybe - I dunno.

Maserati are the ones for naming cars after wind.

Most of them apart from Quattroporte and Biturbo are winds AFAIK.

Islero is a bull apparently.

I saw a weather warning earlier.

In the south there is a transport lockdown with airports and ports shut
Travel only if necessary
People are advised to stay indoors and look after the vulnerable
Its strongly suggested to prepare for power cuts and water shortages

On the other hand Northeners have been told they may need a coat

Cheers!

The lid's gone from my paper recycling box. Arse.

When did they start naming 'storms' in the UK?
Well they are on D so 3 storms ago.
When they realised people have stopped paying attention to the climate change spiel.

Naming storms makes them stand out as different. It's not jus weather, it's weather worthy of a name. Must mean it's worse than previously thought (TM) and unprecedented (TM).

As usual here it's been a little blustery and it rained for 10 minutes. Not exactly note worthy or special.

The weather warning for this week according to the alert than popped up on my phone was for freezing conditions. I don't think it got close to freezing at any point and most days were bright, sunny and mild.

I must be in the eye of the storm - no rain or wind and it's actually very pleasant outside although I did have to scrape the frost off the car this morning.

Worth remembering this sort of reporting when tne media panic about impending armageddon because of Brexit, Trump, climate change etc.

I wonder if the Met Office realise how stupid they look.

The next windy day is going to have to be named "Doris".
