Anyone else finding his speeches fascinating? He speaks as though the the intended audience is very young, less than 10 perhaps.

Also the constant repetition where the second sentence sounds like trumpatron is malfunctioning/running out of battery.

No need to be such a drama queen. Or leftwing fear-mongering. Almost all major countries on the planet are more protectionist than the US. The Economic Freedom index shows Germany is roughly 5% more protectionist, Spain and France 20%, and China 30%.

Trump is not anti-trade. He is pro-fair-trade. The days where China gets easier access to the US than the US gets to China are numbered.
Not sure where you're getting your figures from. In terms of trade freedom the US scores 87.1, Germany scores 87, China scores 73.6. And in terms of overall economic freedom the US ranks 17th, below even the UK and way below Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia etc.

Isn't time to move on and see how he gets on rather than just keep slagging off everything he does, calling him a fascist all the time is an insult to the real victims of fascism, Goodwins Law seems to be in overdrive lately.

Not really.

Banning news outlets from briefings?

The biggest fking alarm bells ever should be ringing out loud. I can't believe what he's doing. It is staggering.

I seriously wonder what is wrong with people who think this is not an issue.

It is like watching in real time how Hitler duped a Nation. How did they ever fall for it? Well here it is.

It's entertaining for sure.

No attempt is being made to stop the information provided at White House PO briefings getting out. It doesn't require either sycophants or enemies in the press to pass news on. As the news will go out anyway, it's a process difference not an outcome difference, and outcomes matter more as long as the process is lawful. Is this lawful? Looks like it. Would I support it? No, as per the Bliar era stuff.

It's because for some people their side 'winning' is more important than taking a step back and thinking critically.

I think its a bit more serious than that.

If only right wing friendly journalists get to listen to what is said - a) they will only spin the positive b) will not ask critical questions c) allow him free reign to do what he wants.

What next? A Ministry of Enlightenment, to make sure everyone understands what they should believe?

But this is OK of course.

The left drew first blood, now they can fester in the consequences of their own actions.

The old, "Look what the other side is doing", to defend Trump.

It's an interesting comparison. A talk show editorial decision versus a White House press briefing. Is that what you perceive these briefings have become in some way?

Seems there is a tangled mess around Conway, from the White House stopping her to the shows disproving everything she said, often the administration?
Full confidence in Flynn anyone?

Indeed, it seems Trump cannot answer questions from journalists he doesn't like or who don't agree with him, in addition his PR people have been a touch inept so far. Surely they can find better representatives to put their views across without just needing sycophants to speak to?

Trump announced today that wall building would start "soon", "way ahead of schedule".

What was the scheduled build start date that Trump has now promised to beat? Or was this yet another piece of sales fluff hyperbole from the Great Dear Leader Salesman?

The strength and confidence of a regime is not measured by who they ban, but by the fact that they are willing to respond robustly to questions to when challenged.

If Trump's team don't want to answer questions from certain sections of the media, that would indicate to me a cowardice and lack of belief in their own agenda.

If they go down this route, they are doomed.

I haven't really had a problem with anything Trump has done so far, I think the immigration ban was a bit out of line but nothing like the meal of it the media made. But I'm with you on this one, he's crossed a very clearly defined line here. I'm not drawing Hitler parallels, because that's ridiculous. But what is effectively censorship should be raising eyebrows somewhat. Very dangerous.

It doesn't matter whether you lose by 1 electoral college vote or 58.

Losing is losing.
