It made me laugh when I saw the Daily Mail was on the banned media list. Those filthy liberals.

He really doesn't though does he, and he hasn't since day 1.

Otherwise why lie about the inauguration attendance?
He got his facts wrong (or passed to him incorrectly) or looked at certain images which made it appear this way?

More worrying to me is that "Crowd scientists" went to work looking at thousands of images just to prove him wrong.

“We compared thousands of images from different sources. We followed seven live feeds just to get an idea of the spreading of the crowd and then we compared them, to look at the density"

"What’s interesting about this is they compared the view from the Capitol and this is a distorted image. We compared several angles, several images which they couldn't see, actually, from this one perspective.”

No big deal to me.

I think banning them from the news room is creating the news he does not want to hear, the wall and the ban are out there in public. How is he going to prevent that? That will be interesting. The 1st is already up there, they preach about the 2nd to the nth degree and god forbid any mention of restriction in that quarter.

Places where the BBC has been banned: North Korea, Zimbabwe, Myanmar, Uzbekistan, Rwanda, China and the White House

Spot the connection.
Here's another connection.

It was good to see the BBC and the Daily Mail banned together. This puts the BBC in its place.
Or it could be a typical Trump reaction to a difficult question being asked by the BBC's Jon Sopel at a previous conference.

But that's probably fake news. It didn't happen.

Oh dear. It clearly is a big deal otherwise you wouldn't be posting on a forum to moan about people, er, moaning.

There would have been no need for any research had T told the truth. Lie about basic facts, as POTUS, and expect some scrutiny.

If so, this changes nothing. The BBC and the Daily Mail are still 'together' and it's still perfect.

Complaining doesn't worry me in debate form. However, setting things on fire, throwing rocks etc and constantly abusing someone because you didn't get your way, had nothing better to do, or because you find it so easy to truly hate someone you never met, does.
Some of that is against forum rules. You don't like something, report it. As far as I'm aware, only one person has resorted to swearing at others and it looks like he got himself banned for another thread. And he wasn't anti Trump wink.
We'll brush all the people protesting under the carpet and focus on one PH poster...got it.

No wonder Trump annoys you.

My God! You are right. I had never thought of it that way. It's a massive, massive deal.

It's clearly an all-consuming nightmare I can't escape from.

You got to larff though. I hate links to the wail but they are running a story where some witches are putting a hex on Trump, did it backfire?

What appears to be annoying you is people who don't agree with you, ostensibly being the shouty people. I'm pointing out I'm only aware of one person who swore at others. Fact.

And I'm not upset by Trump at all, I find his whole circus amusing.

He said he welcomes bad stories about himself, so long as they are true.

Can't argue with that.
His idea of what's true makes this "confession" meaningless.

Some people seem to think that democracy is merely about counting votes.

It's not.

It's about openness by those in power and willingness to accept criticism.

On those scores, I fear for the survival democracy in the US.

I always fear for the survival of democracy. However, I think the US will survive the Trump presidency because the constitution was always designed to place limitation on the powering the President.

They need to be vigilant. Trump and Bannon's tactics at the moment is to effectively persuade the American public that the only trusted source of information and news is themselves and a few selected media outlets that share their views.

There is a "mental prepping" process going on at the moment designed to undermine the standing of the press and the media in the US so that, when some big scandal erupts and envelopes the administration (which is bound to happen - perhaps very soon), then the shouting of "fake news, fake news, enemy of the people, don't listen to them" etc etc will have taken root in the minds of the public.

We shall see if it works or not. I am hopeful that there are enough free thinking, free minded and intelligent people in America to see through this fairly simplistic approach to "queering the pitch" which is a hallmark of Trump and his cronies.

According to the Guardian, the excluded news outlets weren't simply CNN, NYT,,LA Times and Politoc as the US outlets are reporting. They were also the BBC, The Guardian, The Daily Mail, Buzzfeed and further unnamed outlets. And AP was invited but boycotted it.

Other stuff: besides the wall having completely stalled as far as one can see, repeal and replace of Obamacare has gone very quiet. Not happening sort of very quiet. T
And the latest is that Trump is going to request a massive budget increase to spend on the military. Why? He is completely against the US being the world's policeman and is an isolationist. Why spend money on a military that you won't use? Oh yes, because it is seen as patriotic, so will whip up support, and can vilify Congress when they say "ps off. Do you even know how big the deficit is?".
The news thing is poor, I didn't hink it would go that far. I think it's thr wrong tack.

From what I read somewhere, GoP doesn't use 'obamacare' term, they want to try and rebrand it, since it's actually a great concept and desperately needed, just needs a re-jig.

The military spending is ridiculous.

It wasn't called Obamacare to start with, it still isn't now....wait, I wonder who made the nickname up...

One of Trump's key tactics is showing other parts of the government, the social elite and the media opposing him, opposing the will of the people.

If they ignore him, are restricted access, then he is powerless.

Or he might not have any tactics or plan and he is just blundering around.
