Saying that Trump feels cowed and unable to handle their questions is one interpretation of events (yours). Equally possible is that he holds the view that certain media outlets portray an even less accurate version of events than others,
As said above, Trump has a very weak, at best, understanding of what "true" means. Funkycoldribena said:

What's that got to do with banning news outlets from attending White House briefings?
I'm not saying Trumps right, but the hypocrisy works both ways.We are not talking about individuals having a spat here.
We are talking about the leader of what is supposed to be an open and functioning democracy. It is without precedence that an American President has barred news outlets he didn't like from a briefing of this type. This is new territory for the US and it has shocked many people there - even from those he "allowed" to attend the briefing.
Indeed, some that were allowed to attend chose to boycott it in protest (Associated Press for example).
If he continues to behave like this he will alienate even those he thinks are "his friends" in the media because he is behaving erratically and unpredictably. In fact, he is displaying some very disturbing psychological tendencies.
I think America is slowly waking up to the fact that they have put a mad man in charge of their country. I hope they emerge out the other side of this episode in one piece as a country.
The US born US citizen son of US legend Muhammad Ali was detained at a Florida airport on his return from Mobay recently and questioned about whether he was a Muslim. Disgusting doesn't begin to describe it.

So - you are completely neutral on Trump.
You have no opinion.
Thanks for letting me know what your position on my position is.You have no opinion.
It's inaccurate, as happens when people with a view think they can get inside other people's heads using their own view as a guide.
The same thing happens when folks think they can get inside Trump's head.
To which aspect of Trump do you refer...hairstyle, dress sense, the media access restrictions?
You can only possibly know about the last one (above) on the media access restrictions as I already said I don't agree with it earlier today at 1404 hrs. At the same time I pointed out that Trump probably doesn't care what my opinion is; nor yours for that matter, nor what the BBC / Daily Mail think of it.
HTH.

I wonder what the response on here would have been if Obama had banned Fox News from his press conferences....
Was not aware of that, quick google for a look see. But it seems it never came to that as the news orgs said they would work off a pool feed? Interesting that has not happened with trump yet.Either way, bad move by Obama. Even if Fox were so far right they were falling over.

TB - I wasn't trying to get into your head (heaven forbid - God knows what I'd find in there).
I forgot to put question marks at the end of each comment.
So, on that basis, can you answer those two questions?
So - you are completely neutral on Trump?
You have no opinion?
Do you support Trump or do you just NOT support the alternatives.
I really do think most of the support for Trump comes not for any love for him but for "fed upness" with what's gone before.
That's all understandable but if you vote for someone you should know what you are voting for as much as what you are voting against.

I think a fair amount on here comes from having similar political views. I forgot to put question marks at the end of each comment.

Yes but you would think that, just as Eric would think that Trump is cowed etc. Who knows? Not you folks, and not me either.
It certainly seems that way. He does seem to not want any dissenting opinions in his vicinity. In the vast majority of cases that usually denotes extreme insecurity and fear.

He appears to be one of the most insecure men on the planet. Who happens to somehow be in charge of a substantial part of the same planet. In the vast majority of cases that usually denotes extreme insecurity and fear.
It's not a good combination.

The BBC ONLY EVER reports about Trump in a negative light. So take your 'scientific research' and shove it. Until the BBC and the rest of the media starts being more balanced, I'll not have a word of it.
They aren't biased. It's just that it is very very difficult for an impartial news organisation to find anything positive to say about trump. Unfortunately, it isn't fake news and he really is that bad.

Hint-I think they'd react very badly to it. However they are fine with Trump doing it because it 'winds up the lefties' or some other mental gymnastics.

Obama never did that, but I was wondering what the resident Trumpians/BBC haters would have thought about that move?

I think you have to call us Libtards now. Hyperboleft is also quite popular.Hint-I think they'd react very badly to it. However they are fine with Trump doing it because it 'winds up the lefties' or some other mental gymnastics.
The nearest we have had before to a President who detested the media was Richard Nixon. He spent his whole career as a politician despising them - mainly because he was insecure and paranoid.

Strange parallels. And it didn't turn out well for him in the end.
