So - you are completely neutral on Trump.

You have no opinion.
Of course he isn't. It's just his way of avoiding having to confront the question of whether Trump is truthful or not.
Boring erroneous personal angle claptrap. As expected.

I've already said that I regard all politicians and wannabe politicians as liars and even explained why.

Saying that Trump feels cowed and unable to handle their questions is one interpretation of events (yours). Equally possible is that he holds the view that certain media outlets portray an even less accurate version of events than others,
As said above, Trump has a very weak, at best, understanding of what "true" means.
As I also said above (at some point, I remember it well), I can't get inside the mind of any politician including Trump, not least as there's so little room. As a result I can't say and won't claim anything definitive about what Trump understands weakly or strongly.
You need to keep better track of what you post.

Or not be contrarian just for the sake of it.

Or drink less coffee.

Or something. 'Cos somethings not working properly.

The nearest we have had before to a President who detested the media was Richard Nixon.
If so, Trump isn't Nixon - not even close.
Exactly. Nixon ended the war in Vietnam.

The BBC ONLY EVER reports about Trump in a negative light. So take your 'scientific research' and shove it. Until the BBC and the rest of the media starts being more balanced, I'll not have a word of it.
Exactly.

It's quite simple.

Balance your reporting, and you'll be unbanned.

But they won't. Wonder why.
You really think Trump did this becsuse he likes 'fair' and 'balanced'? It's quite obvious he's done it because he like the exact opposite.
No I really don't think that, but it might teach the BBC something (HAHA).

It's funny how PHers never see bias when a story suits their own world view.
That's quite a generalisation. I'm capable of seeing bias at both ends of the spectrum thanks. The good old BBC is only biased in one way though.

I do; your example is not in keeping with the original issue, it's irrelevant.

What Trump understands weakly or strongly isn't the same as Trump being a liar or not. I've said previously that all politicians are liars.

That response is desperate stuff redolent of baseless chutzpah from faulty comprehension.

Some way back in the thread, Thursday to be precise, I made my position very clear and it's the same position I posted earlier this evening.

Another kowtow to the GoP.
Some people still think he isnt a liar.

I reckon politicians are liars, it goes with the turf, so with that out of the way, the latest act to rescind Obama-era federal guidance involves putting the matter in the hands of each State, as such any State could continue as before.
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=205&t=1653372&i=1599

How easy is that to misunderstand - try hard and you might make it based on track record.

I've also explained in a different post how easy it is for any poitician to be seen as a liar, this arises when ideology / personal perspectives hit realpolitik demands head-on.

Your close attention to my posts is appreciated but you can only cope with same-day content, so your boring erroneous personal angle posts are bound to fail as happened here.

Do you really think it will though?

If they think that he's a thin-skinned narcissist who detests oversight and people saying anything negative to/about him then how is this going to teach anyone a lesson other than reinforcing that fact.

What if they don't think that?

As with most things Trump, the value is in the entertainment factor - seeing the BBC alongside the Daily Mail in being excluded from the briefing. Perfect.

Would that it was nothing other than entertainment. PH would be the perfect place to have a good laugh about it.

But of course it isn't a new spinoff from The Apprentice is it?

I'm not the biggest fan of the BBC, but I sincerely hope this teaches the BBC nothing and they carry on as before. Seriously: Donald Trump, the man who supposedly welcomes challenge, who can take on anyone, is peturbed by terribly nice, unbelievably well spoken and well brought up, middle class boy Jon Sopel? If that is the case, dare I suggest Donald Trump lacks the calibre to be president of the most powerful nation on earth and seld-styled 'leader of the free world'. The day governments try to teach news outlets how to behave is not a day to say "haha".

I've snipped the petulant turbowaffle/turboinsults, and then inserted the bit that you disingenuously (a bit generous, IMO) excised from the core point.

What a silly billy you've been. Again. Ah well. Plus ça change...

On the list of things a Head of State should be I'm not sure 'entertainer' should be very high up though.

Do you agree with Trump's stance on the media? And what are your go to, reliable sources of news?

Trump's own Dept of Homeland Security writes intelligence report he asked for telling him the travel ban is pointless. White House rejects the report. Unbelievable.

Trump is the most thin skinned narcissist in the world. He hates bad press, hates being mocked on SNL and by Colbert and co. That's why he can't control himself and lashes out like an incontinent madman on Twitter. Apart from FOX and the lunatic fringe all the media are finally calling him out and he can't deal with it hence the latest ludicrous antics.
Nice to see you back posting in this section unrepentant.

So how do you see the Trump presidency ending, and do you think a stronger Dem candidate in November would have beaten him? Did they make a mistake going with Hillary?

Putting aside the press ban for a moment, Trump seems to be saying that current arms limitations are unfair to the US, and that their nuclear arsenal should be updated - to be the best and biggest, of course.
Also that the US needs to spend much more on their military.

1) Is this the start of a new arms race?
2) Has he found a magic money tree to pay for all his promises?
