He's working on plan b after discovering that sharks with frickin' laser beams won't survive in the desert.
Not sure if serious. Have you seen the Sharknado documentaries? Apparently a desert could quickly become covered by shark-infested water. They kept quiet about the size of the laser beam threat. Don't tell me it was based on fake news...

Refusing to attend the correspondents dinner I see.

Reagan had a proper excuse.

His message to the journos is "I don't need you guys".

We shall see in time if that was a smart or a dumb move.

The fact that they mocked him (when he was guest) back in 2011 may not have enamoured him to the event.

Mocking was the least of it during the election campaign! Then he won...

The irony of saying "the US spends too much on their military" coming from a country that doesn't even have a single aircraft carrier. Nevermind not having the money to build 1 aircraft carrier, but then having the share it with the quitting French.
That's not irony.

Also only eight countries currently have them, and one has more than the rest combined

And the mocking continues. That makes him sad. Very sad.

If you say so. It may also have made him consider, and then implement, attendance restrictions for White House PO briefings. This wasn't against my advice as he did't ask, but it would have been.

Are people really happy Trump is trying to surround himself with yes men who won't ask awkward questions?

(And what did the Mail do wrong? Was it an unflattering shot of Melania's side boob?)
didn't they falsely claim she used to work as an escort?
I think they might have mentioned that she worked in the US a year before getting the right visa.. IIRC it wasn't uncommon at the time for models to enter with one type of visa, then carry out modelling assignments even though that was in breach of the visa limits.
So, if what the Mail said is true, she meets Trump's criteria for immigrants who must be deported (he'd stated those who broke visa rules must go even if they're now legal).

That's not a realistic prospect in terms of the media, but it's pretty much SOP for political assistants of various types - which goes some way to explaining how they (the leaders being assisted) can get so much so wrong.

To be honest, I would expect a lot of people to surround themselves with familiar people pushing your agenda. Problem comes when the view is distorted and gets a bit emperors new clothes.

And a wise leader should always be prepared to listen to opposing thoughts - even if it is only to help him/her ensure they have their arguments and justifications properly thought through.

Haven't watched CNN for ages but on Trump especially the BBC has ceased to be a news organisation and has simply been running a campaign against him.

Awkward questions and public scrutiny are one thing but it's hardly surprising that he would exclude them.

People can call the BBC "credible" all they like but it should be judged on its output and its output on Trump has been a joke.

Come on Fella - we've both been warned that this sort of contribution isn't appreciated by the PH'rs that want to discuss the serious consequences of the Trump dictatorship.

I really don't want to set off Greg66 again cos it was pointless last time and took up several pages and then he started another thread in website feedback hehe
