The BBC is not really of concern to him, although Brits might get in a bit of a tizz about it. It's the large US news corporations that will be seething about his attitude and his actions - and he makes enemies of them at his peril.
Or maybe not.

The news has changed a lot in recent years. We may be about to find that the traditional big news companies aren't as powerful as we and they thought.

And Trump's output has been?
Doing what he said he would do before he was voted in ideaeek
And doing a great job of it right? Where's the ban? Where's the wall? Has he defeated ISIS yet? I supposed he has some days to go on that one.

Well I'm sure he has achieved quite a lot since he has only just taken office,
not that I'm really botherd either way what he achieves, I'm just enjoying the
Pantomime of all the outraged, still I bet he achieves more than some before him
I think it's more entertaining watching him showing his utter incompetence and hubris. And his supporters are pretty entertaining as well.

The question is why Trump feels that a massive increase in US arms spending is necessary at this point in time.
Unlike the BBC I am able to see both sides and in this case I don't agree with trump's need to increase military spending. Unless he knows something we don't!
Jobs=votes.
Plenty of better ways to create jobs and achieve "greatness"; start a space race!
That would be good. But what can they do with Space for votes? (I know what I would like to see but....) His game is a second term. He would need to chuck a lot of money at it to get the manpower and visibility of his aim when the easier track is the military. Already has a captive audience of large numbers and full shipyard building schedule perhaps is his aim?

What does he have in store for space?

I hope he goes for it in a big way.

Never knew about the thread in feedback, absolutely pathetic.
Agreed - not sure if that resulted in Strictlyfingered getting banned from this thread or something else was instrumental in it.
Sticky's departure from this thread was, I think, some time before that thread. Not certain but probably due to his circle jerk obsession.

I guess his experience is from running his own corporation where he can do what he wants regardless. He's now finding out he can't do that as president.

I think making and enemy of the media so obviously, is a big mistake for him. His advisers should be constantly repeating the saying "keep your friends close and you enemies closer" to him.
Anyway, it'll be interesting watching is play out biggrin

He certainly ended up being very bizarre indeed. Kept taking about masturbation in every single post.

Not sure that itself deserved a banning though but as you say, it must have been for something else.

Space is no interest to him - except where he can use it to big up his ego. At the moment he hasn't yet appointed a replacement Administrator for NASA. Charlie Bolden retired in January and Robert Lightfoot is the Acting Administrator for the present.

The only move he seems to have made in regards to space is to ask NASA to look if it would be possible to send a crew around the moon on the first manned flight of the Orion/SLS salted for December 2018. That would be a very bold thing to do - and extremely risky for a virtually untried spacecraft that hasn't flown yet in its flight ready form. Apart from being something "cool", I can't see any real benefit from flying such a mission except for massaging the Trump ego.

I hope NASA is strong enough to try and persuade him from using space as a personal "show off" vehicle.

In a way you are right. I'd prefer if the money was spent on space rather than weapons. But I am sure that won't happen. If the aerospace and munitions industry is going to suddenly find itself flush with cash, it won't be to build space rockets.

Looking at it from his point of view was I. The military is already there, the contractors supporting and families of both. Already has a large voting base. Increase it.

Spending huge amount of money on arms and expanding the military is a one way ticket to bankruptcy. It only provides jobs and security - for a while.

Not saying it is a good thing, you have to sustain a peace time force and the balance is never easy. However, I am second guessing him as I see his actions and comments.

So probably way off the mark. Or not.

Wonder how long Tillerson will stick it. He's already been marginalized, hasn't got much a staff - doesn't even have a deputy and has been out of the loop on most of the things that a sec of state would usually be involved in. Maybe Trump regrets hiring someone who is a genuine CEO with real corporate experience and gravitas. Likewise I'm sure he's uncomfortable with the press that Pence has had recently as he's travelled around contradicting the orange bigot. It can't be long until he wakes up to the fact that congressional republicans and evangelicals would much rather deal with Pence and starts to freeze him out.

This has to be the funniest thread on the site.

In the company my daughter works for, when things are hard going, they have a Trump half hour, in which theyu have a good laugh over who the Donald has pissed off.

It causes much hilarity , these are upper echelon management, they are right, some of the hysterical cretins on here are a laughable edifice.
