There has been a significant decline in tourism to the US according to the Boston Globe and others. Sources in the industry are saying that Trump's immigration policies, even though they have failed in their "objective" so far, have been as damaging to the sector as 9/11.
or... the £ shat itself and everything costs more in America now. Go brexit! , p.s i voted to leave.
I don't think visitors from the UK were a concern, more a general decline in visitors to this country, from all over the world.

Most of the Britain based PHers will have united exposure to his administrations policies, actions and performance but even so those figures surprise me TB.
Rassmussen usually report higher support figures for Trump than the other major pollsters. I don't know why, but they do.
After last year I pay scant regard to all the polls. If you actually talk to real people you hear a lot of buyers remorse and embarrassment.
All over the polls like a rash last year weren't you? Couldn't get enough. You abusive old rotter! I love the way you have swanned back in here like nothing happened, barring the biggest internet flounce that I have ever seen, alongside colossal abuse, racism, voyeurism and hysterics by yourself, it was fabulous.
laugh

It's remarkable that unrepentant is even bothering to make predictions about US politics any more given the way all his other forecasts went.

It's ok, she's going to win in a landslide. It was over long before tonight and Trump has made it worse.

Even his closing statement was just words, he's an empty vessel.

LOL. Absurd person singular is back.

I honestly think that you're so stupid you really believe the crap you write. hehe

Head for the hills son, for you and the other dribbling fools the war is over. Your candidate was so bad that the White House and the SCOTUS is lost to you for a generation, probably forever. Thanks to the morons who voted in the primary to nominate the most cretinous candidate in American history the GOP is finished. Good job. clap

To the first point Trump isn't in this. It's been over for weeks, it's just a question now of whether his disastrous campaign leads to the democrats taking the house as well as the senate.

Trump is not doing well Countdown, he starts with 47% which is what Romney had. He'll likely end up at 38/39%. That's not doing well, that's a collapse of the republican vote.

5ohpreston does not represent America, his views are largely Un American and there really are not that many people like him. He's a tiny minority and in no way representative of the average republican voter. Most of Trump's vote will be made up of people who are part of the 47%, they always vote republican and will whoever the candidate is. And of course there are democrats who don't particularly like their candidate but who will also vote for her. The bit in the middle is the important bit, the swing voters, and they are running away from Trump almost as fast as the republican hierarchy are.

Keep it up. Every time you type you underline your Un Americanism and your intellectual deficiency. You are the Trump demographic.

It's genuinely funny to read the rantings of a pro Trump Lancastrian wannabe American halfwit. hehe

It's funny, even in swing states like NH that Spunker has to win the republicans have conceded defeat and are running ads telling their voters not to give HRC a blank cheque and save the senate. Meanwhile here on PH the Deluded still think that the wkpuffin can win. It's like the real world is some other universe to Areout & co.rofl
Found one directed at me too laugh

After she wins next Tuesday I assume that you will be on here admitting what we already know, that you're a moron whose irrational hatred of Clinton consumed what little brain you had previously? Or you could just apologize to Haymarket for wasting so much of their bandwidth with your onanistic trolling...
There are definitely some better posts than these laugh

I've been peddling my dirge here a lot longer than 18 months chum. laugh Unfortunately most people with something worthwhile to say on political matters don't bother coming to PH anymore because of nauseous little cretins like you who have nothing to say so post the sort of ludicrous bilge like the above. I only bother because it's fun to wind up you newbies and wannabes and witness you getting ever more desperate as the inevitable defeat of a candidate that you inexplicably favor in a race that involves you not one jot looms ever closer. One more week and you can crawl back under your rock.
unrepentant said:
You do understand that Trump is going to lose by at least 100 electoral college votes, probably many more? You do understand that he's even stopped campaigning in many swing states and is concentrating on trying desperately to shore up his vote in red states that he now stands a good chance of losing? His campaign is only about preventing a humiliation now? Do you have the slightest clue about anything that you write? You just look dumb.

He's very uncomfortable in the company of powerful women in particular and genuine world leaders in general. He stood there looking stupid yesterday while the Taoiseach took him to school on immigration. He is the definition of inadequate.

You're not doing yourself any favours. All you're doing is highlighting how very wrong you were and now how little class you have.

(Actually, it's a bit embarassing to be on the same side of the argument as you.)

Why do you think I would care two hoots what you think?

Everyone got the election wrong, every pollster, every pundit, even Trump himself thought he'd lost. I don't feel bad for getting it wrong, I feel fking awful about what's happening here now and so should everyone. This forum and that thread were dominated by obnoxious right wing trolls in the run up to the election, most of whom had never even been here. They brought out the worse in me. wink

Old Edna needs immigration as everyone from Ireland has already long fked off to pastures new, bearing in mind the dreadful state the place is in. So I am sure they don't see eye to eye on many issues.

Some good points here, a lot of people did get the election wrong, not everyone though.

When Donald announced his candidacy it was a bit like Leicester winning the Premiership, could never happen, and as it got closer and closer it still seemed unreal.

"This forum and that thread were dominated by obnoxious right wing trolls"

Not obnoxious and not trolls but definitely right wing. I like to think us pinko commie subversive libs can add a splatter of lefty glitter over all things biggrin

Ironically Donald is our wingman in our fight. He keeps doing blue on blue with the GOP .....

Right wing US president and right wing US capital hill. And it's a complete pigs ear so far, rather than making hay while the sun shines. The barn's on fire.

Poor unrep; what started as a knowledgeable and amusing systematic destruction of every Republican candidate turned into an ikky love in for Hillary, especially when it became obvious he was actually attending the DNC conference despite not being able to vote. Throw in some epic trolling by our resident plastic redneck 5.0 and it all got a bit tragic.

Eh? laugh

Clinton was not my choice and I pointed out many times on the thread that I would have preferred a candidate with less baggage. She was, however, infinitely better than the alternative, as the world is now seeing.

For the record I did not attend the DNC although I have made modest monetary contributions to a number of democrats over several cycles and continue to do so.
