Deputy WH chief of staff Katie Walsh has been fired by Trump following the healthcare debacle. Bad news for Reince Priebus who is seriously wounded as he hand picked her and she followed him from the RNC. Can't be too long before Priebus follows her through the door.
Fired? Some reporting that it was a consensual move..... (Although Trump says that about ALL his moves.....)

Insider dealing basically, I think the phrase here is "no s*** Sherlock".

Still think the powers that be were fishing in another direction and the Trumps empire got snagged by default and not directly.

And his personality is coming out after the Freedom Caucus, the threats are quite interesting. He could denude himself of a majority?
Or the Freedom Caucus bottles it and falls into line?

Of course she was fired. Serves 2 purposes. Creates a scapegoat for the healthcare fiasco and weakens Preibus who Bannon wants rid of.

Some will. It seems Trump is threatening some of them with primaries come the midterms. IOW they will first have to fight another Rep candidate for the opportunity to stand for election against a Dem. And dollars to doughnuts says the other Rep candidate will be pro Trump, pro Trumpcare.

ETA: he is basically declaring civil war within the Republican Party with a view to excising those who oppose him. He may be overlooking the fact that the ultra conservative Rep members of congress were elected by, umm, ultra conservatives who really don't like or want Trumpcare. Time will tell.

She's gone to work for a pro-trump campaign group....that doesn't sound like a firing to me. Yes, maybe it was mutually agreed that it would be better if she worked elsewhere and she was moved sideways. But nothing I've read suggests that it was an acrimonious split.

He bullied ALL the mainstream GOP candidates throughout the campaign. Didn't do him any harm with the grassroots Trumpettes. He doesn't give a rats ass about convention or norms of behaviour. He's a loud mouthed bully who constantly bullshts and that has helped him become POTUS. Until he loses properly he's not going to change.

And just to clarify, achieving absolutely nothing is not a loss as far as he's concerned. He says he's winning and his supporters accept it. The US political landscape is in the twilight zone.

Bugger me sideways with a small aubergine- there's none so blind as those who won't see.... banghead

To paraphrase King Kev, I would love it, just love it, if she HAD been fired. In fact she may well have been. But nothing I've seen, even on WaPo or CNN suggests that it was a firing. If you can point me towards something that suggests it was, I'll celebrate as loudly as anyone.

But if she hasn't been fired, and if the anti-Trumpers are clutching at straws to suggest dissension in his camp, then it smacks of desperation and "FAKE NOOZ". And it will reinforce his core support.

"Flynn served as the twenty-fifth national security advisor from January 20, 2017, to February 13, 2017. He was forced to resign after information surfaced he had misled Vice President Mike Pence about the nature and content of his communications with the Russian ambassador to the U.S., Sergey Kislyak. Flynn's tenure of just 24 days as national security advisor is the shortest in the history of the office."

Running for immunity already. Its not even April, what 70 days in?

Flynn is not a stupid man, and must have talked to a lawyer; he wouldn't be requesting immunity if he didn't need it...

Now this could be interesting. If he's looking for immunity, then he's worried.

Not being familiar with the US system of for this immunity deal thingy, on a scale of 1-10, 1 being he stepped on a crack in the pavement and 10 he is the devil incarnate, can I assume 1 has a chance here purely to keep ones record clean and nothing will actually implicate anything serious?
