Remember when NAFTA was 'the worst trade deal ever'?

Yeah, they want to keep that now

That's harsh. You're comparing a country with a high proportion of imbeciles run by a lunatic to Paraguay.

Another "Trump Win". He will say....

"You remember NAFTA? Worst deal ever! Ever! And they said couldn't change it! I changed it! Believe me! Mexico! Canada! They were begging me, pleading with me! But I put America First! I said I was going to do it, and I did it!!"

If you look at the above paragraph you might see that nearly EVERY single sentence is either a complete lie, or a half-lie. but (a) it's simple (b) his supporters can understand it (c) it sounds good.

That's all he needs to do for the next 4 years. A constant stream of bullst.

Where have we gotten with the millions of fake votes cast in the election? Has Trump produced his evidence yet?

Some commentary that they bused them in. People coming forward to testify etc.

No evidence yet?

It doesn't matter. That's their entire M.O.; all they have to do is make a claim and their audience laps it up. No evidence is ever required.

And why change a winning M.O....?

Thing is, if they were bused in, then there is an evidence trail.

I wasn't there obviously, and not meaning this in a sarky way, how long to get this evidence to the public. Someone drove the buses for starters. Firms would have been hired. If indeed it did happen then what are the penalties?

As a lefty I can't thank Trump enough for the work he's doing against the bonkers right. I just hope he's allowed to get a full term in. That's my main worry at the moment.

Yeah. Scrapping meals on wheels, rolling back same sex and transgender rights, de funding planned parenthood, throwing out millions of immigrants, banning Muslims (or attempting to), supporting a plan that would remove healthcare from 24 million Americans, eviscerating environmental agencies, defaming the UK intelligence agency, defaming a civil rights hero in racist tweets, proposing a budget that is the most far right in memory. He's really going after the right. And we haven't got to his tax plan yet. rolleyes

I bet it wasn't you know.

He wasn't that specific. He mainly talked in generalities.

His main themes were very, very general and tended to be about what he was going to do about America's "enemies" i.e the government in Washington, the mainstream media and foreigners. He also declared he would create jobs and "make America great".

There wasn't much talk about abolishing benefits. Even his attacks on Obamacare was based on the fact that he would replace it by something cheaper and better.

We don't really know, because we weren't looking in the right place. Bannon/Trump won because they bypassed the MSM and appealled directly to people like 5oh. We don't know what policy promises/fear-mongering were made to voters using Cambridge Analytics' big data and individually targeted advertising. Political persuasion now has a narrowcasting dimension.

Surely that can be measured and assessed just like any other form of advertising and general communication.

Indeed, isn't the whole advantage of "internet" use that it can be monitored and analysed quickly and easily?

They basically said what people wanted to hear. The show boating at the head to heads were cringing. Almost scripted.... The Bannon (and his bigger donor) stuff would have flooded the area's where they thought they could get a result. Google can be manipulated.

On another note. There was a lot of rhetoric that is interestingly coming back to bite them, however observing US politics from afar it seems that the ones with the deepest pockets are a bit teflon for a while. Interesting that the question that needled him to walk out the office did so easily. He must be smarting that his narrative is not the one on peoples lips.

Speaking of which, reports now that they want direct access to the raw intelligence (of whatever) to make their own minds up and spin it the way they want to. Bush's merry crew did that?

I think that feeds back into his want to control. This is where Bannon (Mercer) will come back into play. If they ever left.
