Possibly to be expected from a Trumpite.

So... Today's news.

One of his aides (Sebastian Gorka, former Editor at Breitbart) is wearing a lapel badge which is linked to the support of Hungarian Nazi sympathisers...
If you actually bother to do some reading into the "Vitézi Rend" he was wearing, it quickly starts looking like that Fake News thats going around.

His father used the title, but as he was born in 1930 he couldn't have been the one knighted. His grandfather would have been the original recipient.

The article states that "The US State Department lists Vitézi Rend as a Nazi-linked group, which could render members ineligible for visas. Gorka became a US citizen in 2012."

https://fam.state.gov/searchapps/viewer?format=htm...

The State Department also lists the French, Latvian and Norweigan police as "Nazi-linked" groups, amongst others.

This whole story seems to be about the most tenuous link to the Nazis ever laugh
He was wearing the badge... right?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_Vit%C3%A9z

It's not tenuous at all, in fact it's pretty explicit.

Even if it's an entirely innocent wearing of a Hunagrian civil award it's an odd thing for an American lobbyist and political advisor to be wearing, since when did Hungarian nationalists start advising the POTUS?

Not to mention dressing up in a 19th century Hussars' uniform for official dates. I thought Americans were quite uptight about 'stolen honour'? smile

I did have to laugh at that "Masturbatory Cry Circle", This thread is a 10/10 for hysterical , self righteous hand wringery .Clear evidence that some people who can use a keyboard have very sad non lives. fk knows what will happen if Trumpy actually does something. I have visions of shrieking hand wringing leftards going orbital on solid fuel rockets of self righeousness and exploding in the upper atmosphere. Northern lights anyone?
this from the man who despairingly cried that his son would have to leave the country on 24 June if there was no vote for Brexit. laugh
Thats incorrect, he was looking at Canada if we voted to stay (sister in law & family already there) he did not view it as "have to", but suffice to say, the thought has gone off the burner since voting to leave, whether thats a permanent scenario, time will tell.

As for what you have quoted, well, if the cap fits, feel free to wear it.

Where is it explicit? The only reference to Nazis is the US State Dept page which I posted. The page that includes the Norweigan and French police as a Nazi linked group laugh

The Hungarians are pretty good at building a wall to keep out Muslims and cracking down on the press.

Seems quite a good match.

The State Dept page lists organisations which had been under the control of Nazi Germany at some point...

This https://lobelog.com/why-is-trump-adviser-wearing-m... makes interesting reading, once you allow for the author's obvious pro-Jewish stance.. It also clarifies the State Dept visa comment.

Is it not phenomenal that Trump is slagging off the FBI? Shouldn't these guys and the Prez be as tight as a nun's habit?

In the binary world of the low-information neoprog, it is difficult to conceive that the CIA and FBI are not monocultures.

The only logical reason why anyone would wear a medal they didn't earn is delusions of grandeur, honestly though that word and the Trump admin are opposites If it looks like duck and quacks like a duck then it's a bloody duck or a duck billed platypus

To be fair though, Trump is also being advised by people with shiney badges from their own performance in many dodgy campaigns.
