I find it fascinating the mix of views you get on here. This is one of the more right-wing sites I've been on.
Can we do a it of an analysis of our members in here?
I classify myself as economically middle-ground but socially liberal. It kind of bears out when you do the online testing:
What that means about me is:

What that means about me is:
- I believe that people ultimately should look after themselves but it's not perfect so a limited social state is required (makes me economically a bit left of centre)
- People should fundamentally be free if what they believe in doesn't harm anyone, i.e. gay marriage, religion, etc (makes me libertarian)

Also very close to Gandhi!
I am surprised as I felt, with age, that I was drifting North East. I do find myself agreeing with what is portrayed as quite right wing thinking and did expect to be closer to sitting on the fence in terms of left and right.
But then I hear some of the extreme thoughts originating from the fringes of that North East sector that I simply cannot agree with.

Apparently we all agree with Jeremy Corbyn. Take from that what you will.

Would I be the only one to feel reasonably certain that Ghandi, Hitler et al did not take this test?
I also found most of the questions necessarily far too black and white.
Many of ones responses might depend a great deal on knowledge of certain facts.
For example, I have always found it quite difficult to feel particularly justified in restricting a woman's right to have an abortion.
Soviet Fun Fact 3783: In 1990 the USSR recorded 4.85 million live births, and 6.46 million abortions.
It becomes difficult to continue to hold such a libertarian view on the subject knowing how far it could go.

"An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth" is another example.
If you know something of the history of the Code of Hammurabi, you appreciate that it wasn't intended to harshen punishment, but to make it more fair and equitable "so that the strong should not harm the weak" being one line of the text.
Ones agreement with the statement in the test therefore is heavily dependent on interpretation and if one makes an assumption that the text is used in the modern sense rather than it's original intention.
