Rare early 390se for sale on the bay, looks like it needs plenty work but looks straight at least.

Put it this way (and no disrespect to the seller), if that sells for £5K, I'm advertising mine for £10K.
Last time I saw a 390SE for sale in need of work it fetched £1800.
Apart from the new glass, the other 'new spares' aren't worth much and as consumables you could expect to replace them within a year anyway. I'm betting that most of us have a £75 windscreen excess so even that's not really a big cost.

See what a bargain you got now Keith?
Well it does look lovely. Currently up on blocks as I ran out of patience with the various oil leaks. So rocker covers, sump, gearbox seals all done. Still waiting for that bloody rolling road session though.Including purchase cost I reckon I've now spent just over the £8k mark so maybe not the bargain I'd hoped for. Did you ever buy a new toy? Cheers.

Yup, no such thing as a cheap tvr......there is a saying......."pay now or pay later but either way you will pay" lolIncluding purchase cost I reckon I've now spent just over the £8k mark so maybe not the bargain I'd hoped for. Did you ever buy a new toy? Cheers.
Still a beauty though Keith, black and gold wheels look epic :-)

Anyway I've spent nearly double that having a kit built. I really should NOT have kept a spreadsheet of costs! I'd originally budgeted for about 11 built then I got a bit carried with niceties like custom built alloy bumpers and a Haywood and Scott exhaust system. And after all that it's still not finished lol! On mobile at mo. but will try and add pics.

Will keep you posted of all events - we've got the monthly meet at halfway house A127/A128 junction next Sunday at midday ish.
The car well, the number plate tells you exactly what it is - 1 x Z3 250 - basically a rebodied BMW Z3 made to look a bit like a 250 SWB Fezza. Not a replica cos the SWB is a fixed head so just call it a 60s Italian style convertible.
2.8 straight 6 with no rear silencer now lol! Not V8 noise but it sounds sweet and all Beamer mod cons like electric hood, air con etc.

Gotta be honest if i had the spare cash i'd consider a bid for it, but due to the marital split i haven't got the dosh.
I've asked the seller what his bottom price is but to be fair not sure if i could do it justice.
short term.
I've got to sell the 350se in the spring and i've got the fhc i bought 12 months ago but have done nothing with and that needs a similar amount of work to this one.
If i had the spare cash i'd buy it tomorrow.
I think that Glens bottom valuation is about right as the max but who know's on e bay.
I know i don't post on here very often but i must check it 4 times per day !!
Mr zigzaga, i thought my face ache account was closed but it isn't and i don't use it.
Due to the ex having access to it !!
If i opened a new account would you accept me into the wedge group ?
Cheers mike
