Yes he's been deeply touched by the Catholic religion - if you know what I mean.

It's all rather silly, until you consider how afraid certain folks are. Certain parties are desperate to silence him.

It was sarcasm laugh
Good old Milo with his sarcasm about consensual sex between a 13yr old boy and an adult. He's a kidder, hey?

"We get hung up on this sort of child abuse stuff, to the point where we are policing consensual adults.

In the homosexual world, particularly, some of those relationships between younger boys and older men - the sort of 'coming of age' relationship - those relationships in which those older men help those younger boys discover who they are and give them security and safety, and provide them with love and a reliable sort of rock where they cant speak to their parent"

That is because he is recounting what happened to him. He is not advocating it. But recounting. A very different thing.
He talks about how much he enjoyed it because he found the man attractive though, which is a justification that could very easily be seen as advocating. Also the part a lot of the reports miss out is that later in the same podcast Milo agreed the current ages of consent were about right.

He was born Milo Hanrahan. He took on his grandmothers maiden name.

He has also gone under the name Milo Andreas Wagner. The thing about him being a Jew is a bit curious, he's not a Jew, he's a Catholic, unless you can be both at the same time, which I'm not sure you can.

Oh so 14yr old Milo fancied the 29yr old priest? That makes it all OK. It's consensual sex, not child abuse. After all it "taught him to give head."

"about right". Give or take 2-3 years.

Seriously have a word with yourself and stop defending this troll advocating paedos. Even Breitbart has distanced themselves from him.

Lena Dunham is a pathological liar and attention seeker and the very definition of the worst kind of middle class liberal white privelege. I think it's best we all just ignore anything she says or does so she will disappear from the lack of attention.
Had no idea who she was, had to look. She's a writer, producer, actor (one of HBO's popular shows), somebody who actually makes and does stuff, so I can't see her disappearing. I read the bit on the controversy, something dodgy there.

You know the comment about the priest was a joke right? That's his style of humour. He correctly pointed out the medical definition of paedophilia is an attraction to pre-pubescent children, then made a poor choice of words in "boy". The age of consent does vary by 2-3 years in Western countries as well, so nothing wrong with saying "about right" when referring to something that sits in the median.

It wasn't a joke, a joke is a specific lingual event, this wasn't a joke. It may have been a comment designed to shock - or he may just be a confused and frightened man who says anything because he wants attention, but he did specifically link it to his own personal experience as a boy which makes it even less jokey.

There is an element of humbug, in that it would have been sufficient to hang him had he said word for word what George Takei said in that clip. The issue isn't the offensiveness of his opinions on this issue, it is that those opinions can be used to deny him a platform for the other opinions he has been espousing. It's not that his critics want him to shut up about underage sex, it's that they want him to shut up full stop.

Of course you can - you can even be an ethnically Jewish atheist. It's an ethnic identity as well as a religion.

What I don't understand it why the media pays so much attention to what he says - there are much more important things going on in the world yet they seem to pay an inordinate amount of attention to him. You'd think that if he's a "troll" then the best thing they could do would be to ignore him, yet they do exactly the opposite.

It was the same when his book deal was announced - arms flew up in opposition yet all this did was provide free publicity and draw even more attention.

But there again, since most of the "mainstream" media in the US is in the pocket of the Democratic party so it's hardly surprising they went after him.
