Interestingly, after quite some time, there'll be a Blackberry phone on the market again soon: https://www.engadget.com/2017/02/25/blackberry-key...

After using a couple of Blackberries in the past, followed by iPhones and now a Oneplus One, I have to admit being very interested in this, as it might combine the practicalities of the bb keyboard with all that we have grown used to (overall smartphone functionality).

Might be getting one once available in fact!

Def intrigued but the £499 I think will be a deal breaker for most

I had a Blackberry back in the day. Liked it.

But what I liked wasn't that physical keyboard. It was the fact that at the time its Blackberry Internet Service (Or Blackberry Enterprise Service) was by far and away the best, most bandwidth efficient software out there. Things loaded quickly despite terrible transmission speeds etc.

In the days of 4G all that's changed. iCloud and Onedrive have all the bandwidth they need to do whatever they want.

It will be interesting to see if this is Blackberry's last gasp, or the start of the resurgence. Based on what I am seeing I am not hopeful of the latter...

If you loved that physical keyboard, though, it's all there is in the market by now...

It will be £199 a week after launch :-)

Seriously though, I have a soft spot for blackberries - I may well have a look when it gets released

Not a chance, the DTEK ones still aren't that and they've been out quite a while now!

I always have high hopes for Blackberry, having owned a few in the past. But they never seem to live up to the hype anymore frown

I'm a big fan of a physical keyboard and the cursor - I'll watch with interest!

I like the looks, too:
