The Union is clearly to blame, I was told just as much on Twitter earlier.contango said:

It is also a conveniently timed diversion tactic with the local council elections coming up. Candidates from the SNP will now be campaigning on a platform of issues that are in the news but they have fk-all jurisdiction over, while local issues get swamped under the noise.Political vandalism - nothing more and nothing less. The SNP have turned the Holyrood Parliament into a massive blockage in the whole Scottish political system. One could suspect they are doing it deliberately to sabotage the process to justify their narrative.

Again,
If Scotland had voted to leave the rUK, they would now be out of Europe. There was a vote last summer and the whole of the UK, rightly or wrongly, decided to leave the EU. But now the SNP wants another vote on independence due to leaving the EU (against the will of the Scottish people even though it wasn't a local vote) which, what ever happens will see Scotland leave the EU and if the do vote to leave the rUK, they will loose their closest trading partner in with the deal.
Are these people really this thick?

Yes. Just looking at Derek Mackay confirms this, no need for him to open his mouth, sums up the dim wits perfectly. 3rd rate amateur's the lot of them.If Scotland had voted to leave the rUK, they would now be out of Europe. "Focused on breaking away from England" would be a nicer alternative. If Scotland had voted to leave the rUK, they would now be out of Europe. Currently on air, debate from holyrood on the next independence proposal.
It is astonishing, the level of professionalism is surreal, it's like a local council meeting after a huge liquid lunch.
What a total waste of time and resources?
Absolutely! Why waste the time of Parliament(& obviously the costs) in debating something that we know the SNP will want, we know the rest dont, and hasnt even been allowed to go ahead yet.It is astonishing, the level of professionalism is surreal, it's like a local council meeting after a huge liquid lunch.

How about talking about education,Police,NHS,etc,etc.
I was told eelier on Twitter than when Scotland leaves the EU will have as it meets the criteria. And the "proof" was a biased website in favour of Independence with a quote by "a professor" or similar.
Shame that tweeter only mentioned the criteria it met and not the ones it was way off of.
Copenhagen Criteria is you're interested.

You know what I would like to see, just one of the SNP MSPs have a crisis of conscience and abstain/resign over the vote today. Surely one of them must realise that now is not the time and everything the party leader says isn't right.
They are incredibly good at either toeing the line or enforcing the party whip at both Holyrood and Westminster tbh, there will be no deviations.57 Chevy said:

But, the glorious leader knows all!I would suspect a P45 to be winging for Scotland right to them.
