SNP radio interview.
As long as we are better than Englans it doesn't matter how crap we are, is what I take from this, oh and it's an affront to question the SNP.

I listened to this this morning and it annoyed me. She seems to be taken aback that Nick Robinson deviated from the narrative and script that she expected. The 'how dare you' question me on any subject other than the grandstanding news story of offering 'three goes at IVF' which graciously the SNP has permitted the Scottish NHS to offer. To be fair, this is something to be applauded but Nick R had every right to enquiry how and why the SNP where going to fund at the expense of other NHS services and activities, She came across as utterly amateurish and out of her depth and it was put across as another 'we are getting one over the English' scenario. I can almost visualise the post mortem in SNP HQ, .......how DARE the BBC question the almighty SNP party line, maybe it's the more compliant STV next time As long as we are better than Englans it doesn't matter how crap we are, is what I take from this, oh and it's an affront to question the SNP.

when it comes to fracking especially there is a lot of us scots that are prepared to risk our lives to stop it, the only way they will frack scotland is if they take us dead. far too many activists rolled over in england, the frackers wont get it as easy here
It's ok - you can put your pot of blue paint back in the garage - Scotland has hardly any shale gas formations anyway FN2TypeR said:

Isn't it a bit bizarre that the licences granted aren't generally where the map shows deposits? Am I missing something?!
Yellow are known deposits. Grey areas are licenses for exploration I'd wager. The shale that holds gas is somewhat different.

So, if shale oil and gas is exploited fully in England, it will drive energy prices down, and presumably the price of any oil extracted elsewhere?
It drove energy prices down in the USA which created a lot of jobs. But given the tax & spunk it up the wall tendencies of our leftist governments (of both hues) I don't see this happening in the UK.
Onshore shale & oil in the UK wouldn't be enough volume to affect the world market but could certainly make us energy independent.
Handy if the Russians decide to turn the taps off at any point.

I'm amazed that the Tory BBC pig dog didn't keep a lid on that information until all of this indy lark had died down.barryrs said:
Yep, can imagine the social media comments and Nat maths at work:"So 1 billion barrels x $55 = $55 Billion. Imagine what we can do with £40 Billion - that'll be the deficit gone then, and cash to spare..!"
