How can anyone with any sense of humanity get into the mind set of a murderer such as this guy today I think its beyond most of us. Had he survived what could we have learned ?.
I think what is a striking contrast today is the site of the Paramedics trying to save a man who wanted to cause us so much harm. Its says a lot about our own values and the people today that did their best to demonstrate the good that we do have within our society good that we tend to over look so readily. The Police and the Ambulance service waded straight into an area which they couldn't possibly know was safe and they did so without concern for the own well being even trying to save the man that caused so much devastation.
It's being called 'human' - from acts of selfless kindness and putting your life on the line to save others or exacting extreme violence in the most terrible manner. Thankfully most of us sit somewhere in the middle. Both ends of the spectrum have been demonstrated today.I think what is a striking contrast today is the site of the Paramedics trying to save a man who wanted to cause us so much harm. It's quite easy to get into the mind of most terrorists though isn't it? They see innocent people (most likely family) die in the Middle East because of the actions of the west (drone strike or just destabilisation of a country) and someone then harnesses that anger and hatred to kill those in this country as retribution?I think what is a striking contrast today is the site of the Paramedics trying to save a man who wanted to cause us so much harm. Looks like one of those 'Facebook live' streams as opposed to the regular Facebook post stuff
It is/was. I was watching the live feed on RT and despite the predominantly white audience (based on those commenting) the flood of laughing/liking emoticons was roughly the same at times. We live in a disenfranchised world.Hero politician was a former Army Captain from what I've read today.

Was the woman who jumped off the bridge found ok?
Yes. Recovered from the Thames injured but alive. Still unclear as to whether she jumped or was knocked over the edge by the car. There is (grainy CCTV) footage on the BBC's "Breaking News" Twitter feed of this happening.9
