Last year I had my Boxster scammed off me (long story).
It made me love the convertible world and so, I am getting another one but have got a few in mind but I'd really appreciate feedback and advice on what to get. The cars one my list currently are:
Audi A4
Audi TT
Mercedes CLS
Mini Cooper
and
Saab 9-3

I've not put down engine sizes as I'm more flexible on this in terms of size and even fuel (petrol or diesel)
Any and all advice welcome and appreciated. Btw, I'm a 56 year old ex-services with a back problem.

Z4 ?

With your back problem I'd probably avoid most of your list, the TT can be low to get into - as can the z4, the mini needs to be on small 16" wheels. The a4 or a Saab 9-3 would be my preferences but just check the pedal position and clutch action of the a4 as the can be offset.

No MX5 on the list?

I'd be tempted by another drop top 330ci though.

BMW 6 series

I had a 645 which did the comfort thing when needed or shifted along quite nicely when the mood was right. Even got 37mpg on a 75mph motorway cruise

If you need something comfortable is the Volvo C70 worth a look?

I'd go for a lager ragtop if you have back problems, what's your budget?

Thanks for all the suggestions and help. At the moment all I can afford to spend is about £2500. I have had to finish work due to spinal damage so I'm just on my military pension. I could save up for longer but then I'd have no transport for longer.
I had considered the C70 and like Volvo but when I read reviews it wasn't very positive. I'd love a BMW 6 series but financially, I'd have to settle for a single wheel lol.
