I'm looking at some new cars and will soon need to move our baby up to an extended rear-facing seat. We haven't picked a particular seat yet.

If you've got one - I'd really appreciate if you could measure from the ISOFIX points to the furthest away point on the seat and let me know (along with the model of seat), so I have an idea while looking at different cars how easily a new seat would fit.

We've got a rotating Axis Fix with top tether in one car and a Concord Reverso Plus in another. I can measure them both for you if needed tomorrow but the angle of your car seat base makes a big difference to how they fit in the car

Tricky to come up with meaningful measurements to compare as a more upright seat will generally intrude less on the seat in front. Plus your own height and seating position will affect whether a particular seat is suitable or not.

Fwiw, we had a Recaro Privia and now have a Zero.1 - it allows the seat in front to be slightly further back. I think the newborn seats tend to be reclined and need more room.

http://incarsafetycentre.co.uk are meant to be good if you can get to them - book an appointment and they'll test fit various models in your car.
