Don't remember people clubbing together and handing over £50k afterwards.

Was just part of inter school rivalry.

Kids from Syria who have probbaly seen st that we cannot fathom or imagine comes here for refuge and gets bullied by the stheads in his school. Awful but not suprising given how rife bullying is.

But the Syrian kid has one up on his bully now, 50k for him and his family whereas bully is still the same sthead he was the day before. Thats a result if you ask me. I daresay it wont be pissed away on booze and fags either.

So in your case, the victim wasn't chosen by personal and circumstantial characteristics which were accident of birth, and the perpetrator wasn't motivated in any way by racial or religious hatred?

Not victim blaming at all, just would be nice to hear both sides of the story before destroying the lads life via social media.

Maybe the other kid has been bullying him for months online and he's finally snapped and said to his mates, 'film this while I teach him a lesson'?

The truth is we don't KNOW anything, just a single video of a typical playground fight that seems to have gone viral and now we all want to string a 15-16 yr old boy up from the nearest rafter.

Trust me, I hate bullies more than most people, but everyone deserves a fair 'trial' or we become as bad as the bully himself. Dragging up his family history ffs, we've all done completely idiotic regretful things when we were teenagers, it's part of growing up, we were just lucky no one had a camera pointed at us 24/7.

How would you feel if the bully committed suicide as he couldn't handle the nationwide backlash? Would that be justice?

It's nothing to do with them being stupid, it's because they have never experienced or witnessed any negative consequences for doing this sort of st.

The kid already had a broken arm or wrist from previous bullying and nothing was done, the bullies were allowed back.

Shame this has to have a racial slant...I would hope the Police would get involved no matter what the ethnicity of the kid.

Sadly, I can answer myself with 'yeah right'. Although in my day this st happened. I lost a tooth after getting a beating from the school hard man. It was bought up in assembly but nothing else was done.

I hate bullies, they get what they deserve!

I was bullied at school, severely, changed my school to one a town over and my grades etc all flourished as a result, it caused my single dad quite a lot of hardship as he then had to cough up for bus fares etc.

Anyone who thinks it is character building is a of the highest order! When you are 12 and having to have your head shaved for the 3rd time because you had chewing gum smeared into your hair following a gang beating or suffering from an eye infection because someone held you down and your eyes open while someone else spat phlegm into them it sends you to a very dark place, somewhere where a 12 year old should not have to visit. Infact no person should be forced into the darkness this brings about, period!

I am fortunate to have grown up into a the well maladjuested human being I am today, many are not fortunate enough to make it out the other side as well as me, or indeed at all, we should be doing more for those people and less to protect those who think it's acceptable!

I had it pegged as "kids being a bit daft" until i read they had broke his arm in an earlier attack. now that the school has been named it should be a kick up the arse for them to do something about bullying in their school. they are as much to blame as the boy himself.

White Supremacists never look particularly supreme to me. How Steve Bannon can look at Idris Elba and say to himself “I’m the superior one here” is beyond me.
