Disgusting from The Sun.
Man legally goes on dating websites/apps and acts legally.
Disgusting people tried to out him and hes ended up in hospital.
Hope he gets well soon and then sues the st out of people. Going off how quickly the previous thread was pulled at one point after legal threats were mentioned I would guess someone shat it here as well.

Depression card being played. OK so he might have been depressed, but so are many people, yet somehow manage to avoid being perverts.
Oh well, he's fked his st up. Hope it was worth it.
So you’re saying Huw Edwards was guilty of being a pervert? Where’s the evidence for that?Oh well, he's fked his st up. Hope it was worth it.

Good to see the forum idiots are out in force
People couldn't help themselves despite repeated warnings and some excellent moderation work, and still managed to get the thread closed in the first place, so this shouldn't be a surprise.ch37 said:

Well, the "mental health" card didnt take long to be deployed. BBC taking no further action. I bet they couldn't wait to sweep this under the rug.
He's resigned and the police have found no evidence of criminal activity, what exactly are they supposed to do in the short term? Sure review their complaints procedures, culture etc etc, plenty to unpick there, but specifically with Huw at this moment in time, the immediate situation has kinda been resolved.
Worth noting he has a history of severe depression, so the 'mental health card' hasn't exactly come out of the blue.

I believe he has a history of living with depression and this episode sure as hell won't have helped given he's in hospital as a result.
I do wonder sometimes with this sort of thing whether the public and media will be happy short of waking up to find someone has topped themselves.
No winners in this one far as I can see.
Like Caroline Flack then.I do wonder sometimes with this sort of thing whether the public and media will be happy short of waking up to find someone has topped themselves.

Well, maybe our moral compasses differ, but a man almost old enough to be a pensioner asking a 17 year old for lewd photos ranks as pretty pervy in my book.Given the only 'allegations' the media managed to drag up and overhyped managed to amount to fk all, there really cant have been much to find. The latest stuff was utter nonsense; a heart emoji?!
A big witch hunt based on tabloids + social media taking a story and filling in blanks with rubbish.
Not sure since when going on dating apps turned someone into the new Saville but that's what plenty seemed to be shouting about.

Reading various sources it appears that the BBC tried to follow up when they received the original complaint, but were ghosted.
The Scum gets a whiff and runs a story on what, ifs and maybes (bearing in mind, this is the paper that published Sam Fox, aged 16 topless).
Usual pitch forks and the angry squad, probably pausing their usual feast on the carcass of Kate McCann to engage in finger pointing and rumour.
Police say no crime has been committed and closes investigation, young lad says he never sent the photos, bloke at the centre of it all probably has breakdown and is sectioned (but yeah, depressed jail dodger ).
If no crime has been committed, who gives a flying fk.
