Really funny to find out that Ted Cruz supported/supports trump despite insulting his wife, making up stories about his dad, and false stories abotu hm via Pecker

Standard trump tell exposed. All the time he was shouting Fake News, he was the one generating faked stories about his opponents

Pecker has made it abundantly clear that this entire operation was about one thing and one thing only, trump’s campaign for president. It wasn’t about protecting his marriage, or his family, or his brand, as his lawyer claimed in opening. This whole thing was about winning the election.

trumps courtroom exit rant, called the courtroom "totally freezing," called the gag order "totally unconstitutional," and finished with a rant about Joe Biden.

And the reason no supporters have turned up is that there are too many police around...
He’s terrified.

It's just obsfucation. Trying to get trumpettes wound up about "it wasn't an affair, and anyway that's not a crime" whilst distracting people from the actual crimes of fraud and misuse of campaign funds.
I assume the argument goes like this:

Paying someone £130K to bury a true story is election interference
Paying someone £130K to bury a fabricated story could actually be preventing election interference

It's still obfuscation, but if they can get "reasonable doubt" on the crime, then the felony charge will fail, even though he's falsified business records.

A misdemeanour charge would be a slam-dunk, but that's just a slap on the wrist.

Anybody watch the documentary on CBS America, c84, Democracy on Trial? Everything laid out in the runup to Jan 6th. All the players, sycophants, blowing smoke up trumps arse, leading to his attempt to steal the election. Shocking when it's all laid out in front of you chronologically! Part 2 tomorrow 21.45. Interesting watch!

Seen two video clips today that were on Fox News. Jesse Waters and their senior legal expert. Both tried to re-write the narrative about the Trump trial.

Paying hush money to a woman isnt a crime
Getting a woman to sign an NDA isnt a crime
So what if Trump declared this as 'legal expenses', its not a crime

Problem is that its the nuance of the details. Trump is on trial for falsification of business records. Typically this is just a misdemeanor, but its 34 counts and under NY law, it is elevated to a felony if its done to facilitate another crime. So the Fox News talking heads just explained EXACTLY where Trump broke the law. This isnt a witch-hunt, its focusing on the fact that Trump did cover up his multiple affairs, used Cohen to make the payments and then reimbursed the others involved while reporting it as 'legal expenses'. Cohen went to jail for his involvement with this, its only the fact that Bill Barr killed off the investigation, even though there was sufficient evidence years previously.

So yeah, Fox News - you just explained where Trump broke the law. Good one.

Calling it hush money has always been odd. It doesn’t seem likely that Trump offered the hush money. So, did Stormy say “pay me hush money or i will talk?” That’s blackmail.

Having a president that has fallen for blackmail isn’t a good look when there are so many rumors around Russia.

No, Pecker has testified that he and trump had been friends for a while and we know he had a safe full of dirt that trump used against people. in 2015 Pecker went to trump to say he could help with his election dreams by publishing positive stories about him and negative ones about his opponents. He called it embellishing stories about his opponents, i.e. manufacturing dirt, something trump tried with Ukraine and Biden, tried with Hilary Clinton, tried with Hunter Biden and the faked laptop etc.

When Karen McDougal, Stormy and the doorman were thinking about selling their stories when trump announced he was running, they stepped in to silence those people with money and NDA's. See above Peckers testimony about paying the doorman $30k for an untrue story to stop it getting out and being an embaressment for the campaign.

Lets not forget 26 women also accused trump of sexual assault, and those offers of money for silence came at a bad time for trump. He was courting the evangelicals and the Access Hollywood " I can do anything, grab them by the pussy" tape had just come out. trump didn't need more to come out so approached them to silence them, or Cohen/Pecker did on his behalf.

There was nothing Pecker testified that it was about Melania, trumps family, just that it was all about protecting trumps election chances, it was all about the campaign and killing negative stories.

So many planted by team trump

A couple of people have pointed out we haven't even got to the main witnesses yet, but Peckers testimony has been bad for trumps defence.

One guest on CNN, defence lawyer Stacy Schneider brought up the point was that Pecker testified that Cohen would call him up after one of the Republican debates, and direct him to print dirt about that person to hurt their chances. Showing trump had a history of unfair election interference.

Joyce Vance on MSNBC pointing out Pecker gave the jury the big picture, how he "walked us through the election interference conspiracy. This is now, catch and kill to elect trump.", whilst not having the baggage of Cohen. He was trumps man

trumps ranted at Maggie Habberman again, calling her 'Maggot Hagerman!' as she reported there wasn't the huge turnout of trump supporters trump had asked for, in fact there were just 3 yesterday.

"Maggot Hagerman of The Failing New York Times, falsely reported that I was disappointed with the crowds," then went on with the usual rant about a scam, the trial should never have been, election interference, corrupt judge, the usual...

edit - found it

trump also had a long rant on TS claiming the police were keeping his supporters away

NBC News reporter Vaughn Hillyard was outside the courthouse as trump was speaking, and he recorded video of the scene that showed trumps claims were false

Fox and Watters doing their best but I'm not sure that claiming trump was popular with the ladies, that Pecker had been killing stories about trump for some time, was really helping? Claimed he was an eligible bachelor, yet trump had been married 3 times, cheated on all his wives, accused by multiple women of sexual assault...

It's a small world.

The AMI editor who worked on doorman agreement silencing him was Sharon Churcher. who previously had worked for the Daily Mail trying to discredit Virginia Giuffre

At the Mail, Churcher worked under Geordie Grieg whose work, home, mobile phone numbers were in Ghislaine Maxwell's little black book.

and here she is popping up in a trump coverup
