Sexual relations wasn't it?
"Clinton ended televised remarks on January 26, 1998, with the later infamous statement: "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky.""

Assistant DA Christopher Conroy, 10 breaches of the gag order, 8 of them were on Truth Social, 2 of them were on the official campaign website.

These "pose a very real threat to the integrity of judicial proceedings," says Conroy and that trump did this all "willfully and flagrantly," and "the Court should now hold him in contempt for each of the ten posts."

Conroy says the burden here is on us to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that these violations were made willfully.
"The order is clear and trump violated it.

Watters claim that undercover liberal activists were lying to the judge to get on the jury that trump retweeted has also been put forward.

Conroy says they're "not yet" seeking sanctions of jail time—only fines, ordered removal of the posts, and for the court to issue another warning that this won't be tolerated and that incarceration is an option "should it be necessary."

“What happened here is precisely what this order was designed to prevent, and the defendant doesn't care,” Conroy explained. “We are not yet seeking an incarceratory penalty, yet the defendant seems to be angling for that."

The judge is ripping him to pieces
"Mr. Blanche, you're losing all credibility with this court," says Judge Merchan, right after Blanche argues Team trump is trying hard to comply with the gag order.

Blanche was trying to claim trump was responding to 'political' attacks. "Just to set the record very straight and clear: Pres Trump does in fact know what the gag order allows him to do and not allow him to do."

Blanche says that the witnesses are making money, documentaries, TV interviews about trump, all while trump is gagged and threatened with jail if he responds.

So Blanches attempts to excuse trump is to claim it's political

Merchan pulled out the claim trump 'just found' the 6 year old Stormy NDA statement... and attacked her for it.. Hardly responding to attacks...

Merchan pulled Blanche apart "So it's your client's position that when he was reposting these things, he was not violating the gag order?...Are you testifying under oath that's your client's position?"

I don’t think Blanche is another Habba - probably got trump directing him like a glove puppet.

Oh I don't know...
“Tell me what case law you have to support that,” Merchan instructed Blanche.
“I don’t have any case law to support that. It’s just common sense, Your Honor,”

and
Blanche quote of the day so far: "President Trump 'Truths' repeatedly, all day, virtually seven days a week, your honor."

biggrin

BBC reporting absolutely no protestors visible in the designated area.
Looks like the repeated calls to his MAGAmob are going unanswered.

She does appear to be smart and funny, but this appears to be a photoshop. The creases in the dress don't seem to be reflected in the mushrooms.
getmecoat just sayin'...but it would be amusing if true.
Sadly it looks like this picture is 'shopped and 6 years old. She deserves her day giving testimony though.

I was about to get all annoyed by that picture - so clearly a fake and in my initial thoughts it was "what are the far right influencers doing now"....

Until I realized they were mushrooms.... and the symbolism to Trumps wiener...

hehe

Its too early for humor like that.

There's nothing he and his team would like more than he imagery of him being led away for 'freedom of speech' etc..

It plays into his hands.

Who gives a toss about that though, really? The number of people who would applaud his incarceration is a hell of a lot higher than the number of loons who would whine about it, and who cares about them now anyway? The chance of a second insurrection is zero after the comprehensive mopping up and jailing of all the Jan 6ers. There's no grass roots momentum behind MAGA any more. What little there is is being manufactured by the members of the media who, as has been mentioned on here several times before, have a vested interest in fuelling it.
A dose of legal reality for trump is long overdue. Even if this particular case only results in a monetary fine it's the first breach in the dam of trump BS. Wouldn't be surprised if his legal team fly the coop after this one and he is left with Lionel Hutz's dumb brother to defend him going forward.

Just couldn't stop, during the break trump tweets about Judge Merchan. Whilst allowed it shows he's not listening to his lawyers at all. They would have wanted him to be quiet for just during the gag hearing.

Prosecution asking for the max under NY law. Under NY law the gag order penalty can’t exceed $1k or 30 days in jail.

Details released in the stolen docs case, there was a 57-page nuclear document in the original 15 boxes returned to NARA from magalardo.

Doc: https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/24581300-2...

Edit: Also trump had a hidden room with stuff in that the FBI didn't find and search according to his lawyers
"That the FBI failed to search several areas of President Trump’s residence on August 8, 2022, where the boxes are alleged to have been hidden, is thus unequivocally material to President Trump as well as Messrs. Nauta and De Oliveira’s defense,"

His lawyers were trying to claim that teh FBI didn't believe was engaged in a criminal conspiracy to hide documents, else they would have found and searched the hidden room as well...

Erm?

Peckers testimony is terrible for trump. The conspiracy is all coming out in testimony from Pecker today, and that the conspiracy is the underlying crime that elevated the falsification of business records from misdemeanors to felonies.

Pecker testified that the agreemnet was verbal, for him to create positive stories for trump, and negative stories about his opponents, and notifying Cohen.

Pecker described the meeting to Dylan Howard, and that the "concept and agreement" must be kept "highly, highly confidetial." and Howard to notify the east and west coast bureau chiefs of the Natl Enquirer, any stories that are out there about trump to take them straight to Pecker. Pecker told Howard "We're gonna try to help the campaign, and to do that I want to keep this as quiet as possible."

He came with evidence that was admitted of the stories he ran about trump. He also said Cohen would ask him to run negaitve stories about an opponent (Ted Crus was an example), Cohen would send him some alleged dirt and Pecker would "embellish it from there."

Bannon also pitched articles that Pecker acted on and "Bannon's requests to Pecker are relevant to the 'primary' underlying crime that Trump was trying to commit or conceal under New York Election Law 17-152,"

Many people saying Pecker exposed the whole conspiracy today, and that the conspiracy is the underlying crime that elevated the falsification of business records from misdemeanors to felonies. Pecker highlighted trumps full awareness and encouragement of the Enquirer’s “catch and kill” scheme

Paying for the doorman story
Q: So why are we paying $30,000 for an untrue story?
A: If it got out to another media outlet, it would be very embarrassing to the campaign.
Q: So it was a way to lock it up.
A: That is correct.

A quick read on the new highly redacted magalardo stolen docs case document release.

Person 14 is Derek Lyons trumps former WH secretary
Person 38 is Pat Philbin

Jack Smith got a warrant for De Oliveira's phone after subpoenaing records from it because De Oliveira didn't provide known communications from Nauta about covering up a Trump trip to magalardo on 10 July 2022. Even then lying to protect trump

trumps courtroom exit rant, called the courtroom "totally freezing," called the gag order "totally unconstitutional," and finished with a rant about Joe Biden.

And the reason no supporters have turned up is that there are too many police around...
