Any news on Don Jr and Eric having paid or not?
I asked the question yesterday,
I guess Eric and Jr didn’t pay up either?
Byker replied
Didn't have to either yet.
Although daddy took their inheritance... probably why Erics been protesting about how unfair it all is and Jnr has been ranting with non stop armwaving and rapid speaking.
Trump took their inheritance already.

Now he's burning through the rest of it right in front of them.

This thread has turned into Dunning Kruger complex at it's finest.

Someone made the point yesterday that it would be wrong to opine on their line of work.

I would simply not comment on something I have no knowledge of but would certainly respect the views of someone who knows that field.

Trump is already in a big financial hole. As I have repeatedly said real life is not a TV show where everything happens in a few episodes.

Since we have now degenerated into personal remarks despite what I have patiently tried to explain I'll leave further comment to the experts here and not waste my time.
Unless everyone on this thread from Day One is an expert in US criminal, election & financial law then I reckon everyone is in over their heads. I’ve never claimed to be an expert, but there are some on here making some strong announcements that it’s all over, but being proven wrong over and over again.

I want him in jail, penniless and roundly mocked all over the US and world. I don’t think it will ever happen, but hey, I’m just a broken record.

Quite a few sharing the same views recently, are you upset with them?

What about cgt2 and dobbo who never stop repeating the same old “wheels of justice turn slowly”, “watch this space”, “it’s all over now”, yet absolutely nothing happens. Trump continues to get away with it and every deadline passes with just more time given, or reduced financial impacts. None of his appeals against these verdicts will ever get heard, let alone the verdicts enforced.

It’s just as broken record-like for me.

So the day after the new gag order from judge Merchan the orange genius has again posted about his daughter claiming that she has posted a picture of trump behind bars.
This is going to run - be interesting to see what the good judge does about this. I feel he will act quickly to maintain control.
I have no idea if his daughter has posted a picture of trump, or when, or if someone has just created an account.

Not going well for Jeffrey Clark, not when his lawyer argued that his client should not be forced to testify at a disciplinary hearing because he would be shamed on MSNBC.

Panel disagreed and in the end, Clark took the stand and invoked a multitude of privileges. To every question asked he repeated the mantra "Fifth Amendment privilege, executive privilege, deliberative process privilege, law enforcement privilege, attorney-client privilege,"

Nowe we know where all that grifted money went.

The New York Times found that trump spent more than $90,000 a day on average on legal costs for more than three years — although none of it was paid with his own money, but instead came almost entirely from donations raised as he fought against his 2020 election loss.

The $254m raised for his election defense fund, just went into his pocket to pay his legal bills. It's all run out. He's been jugling the same money around his PACS to make it look like he has lots more money than he has, reporting the same money several times.

Isn't the deal supposed to be that your boss gets his soul? I can't help feeling that your boss, too, has been suckered.
you think Trump has a soul?
No, that was rather my point.

musing for other such expressions...

Fani Willis threw a party in her County jail
The R N C didn't like, they began to wail
The rats was leavin', the case began to swing
You should've heard those knocked-out jailbirds sing...
...
Let's rock
Come, on, let's rock
Put Everybody in that Judge House Dock.

I was one of those saying it's all over, and I haven't been proven wrong. And I still am saying it. He's done. Toast. Finished.

It's just, well, these things don't happen instantly. Which shouldn't need to be explained.

Like a supertanker. Momentum. It's going to crash, it's inevitable. But it hasn't yet. Does that mean it won't? No.

The problem is your insistence that because he's not in an orange jumpsuit right now, he's getting away with it.

To add to that, in an election where turnout is key, Trump/MAGA has not even started in key areas, whereas Biden is accelerating

I don't want to bore anyone but the fact is that the longer the guy is happily playing carefree golf, the longer he is getting away with it.
He's 77 going on 78. Realistically how long does he need to drag it out for? It's until he's gone mentally or physically.
From age 77, average US male life expectancy is 10 years. 1 year of drawn out court proceedings is 10% of that.

The more life you live in the way you want, the better. He'll be enjoying it until it's taken away from him.

He is currently getting away with it. Ultimately he might not, but there have been no real consequences for him. Sure, lots of civil rulings against him, all of which he’s appealing. The ones referenced like Trump University were all out of court settlements, which are a compromise that works for both sides. Has the original $5m appeal been heard yet? It’s a year since that was awarded & subsequently appealed.

Stating something and not being proved wrong is not being proven right btw. If I say ghosts exist, then it would be a bit ridiculous if that is deemed to be true, because I haven’t been proven wrong. Trump makes a lot of wild claims, most of which have been proven wrong, but some haven’t. That doesn’t make the latter right though.

I'll bet he isn't playing carefree golf. He'll be anxious to be the bestliest golfer on the course.

Personally I get cold sweats over a couple of k credit card debt.

If any one of you thinks owing over a billion dollars that you can't pay whilst pretending you're wealthy is getting away with it then crack on.

He doesn't need to be in prison to lose everything. But he will be.

Think about it, sending a former president and current presidential candidate to prison is utterly completely un.... Presidented
