Despite being corrected the twitter account isn't the judges daughter, trumps continued attacking her because she isn't in the gag prder

He's also named her on his website
Is the Judge not a member of the Courts staff ?
The order copied the one trump was given previously, Judge Juan Merchan said that trump can’t make statements about attorneys, court staff or the family members of prosecutors or lawyers intended to interfere with the case. Trump is also barred from making statements about any potential or actual juror.
The order does not prevent trump from talking about New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who is a public figure, or Merchan himself.

Judge noted trump had a history of making “threatening, inflammatory, denigrating” statements against people at all levels of the justice system, including jurors.

It doesn't specifically mention the Judges family, hence trump is spreading his false claims, pre-emptive grift for when he loses. Standard tell for trump to attack people especially when he's worried about the case.
He really is a disgusting man, and that image is exclusively based on what we see in public. Heaven only knows what other nastiness he has perpetrated in his miserable life. It's a 100% safe bet that he's never done anything nice that he's kept quiet about.

How much does “having more money” really swing an American election these days?

What with social media and such a clearly divided electorate? I assume most of the money is spent on advertising, TV etc
I don't know why they bother with all the voting malarkey, just give the presidency to whoever pays the most money to the government (no refunds).
trump spent $1.6bn of other peoples/countries money in 2016, and a tiny bit of his own. He claimed $66m, but $10m was routed though an egyptian bank
He won by about 80k votes of swing voters, Comeys actions and catch and kill about his multiple affairs.

trump was holding huge rallies, pushing a large number of adverts, the targetted social media ads, assisted by the russian disinformation.
I think it was said his free media attention was worth $5bn in ads to him

In 2020 trump spent over $1bn, Biden about $1.6bn. Thats not even counting the outside groups spending on the candidates - trumps many Pacs the NRA, the DNC, the DNC for Biden etc.

The swing voters decide US politics. Getting out and addressing them, either through messageing (ads), the media reporting rally speeches etc is really important, that constant messaging.

It's why many GOP are worried trumps run out of money and stopped, concentrating on his trials.

So how much is it worth this time? He is wall to wall on nearly every news channel, some supporting, some opposing. Whichever way you cut it though he is getting huge free coverage. His rallies get covered, he gets to spout his lies amd they're played on TV as if true to a lot of people.

Care to put a large amount of money on that outcome, with the wager documented in such a way that we can either congratulate you on your foresight when Trump wins, or extensively and mercilessly rip the proverbial out of you for being just yet another mug conned out of their money by the promises of the Tangerine Tumour when he loses?

Its not a high possibility, but a possibility. If he loses the next business fraud case then he has a criminal record as well as being a fraudster, serial sexual offender, multiple bankrupt, rapist etc. He's only working to the faithful, who will stroke his ego, turning off and away not only the floating voters but republican voters as well.

I don't like typing this, but re: "Its not a high possibility, but a possibility." -- that was also the case in 2016 and the fker won it.

Count nothing out appears to be the best mantra here.

Neil Hobday, the project director for trump's golf resort in Aberdeenshire, has apologized for pushing through a deal that he says has not delivered on its promises to local residents.

"trump lied to me" said Hobday, which noone apart from himwas shocked about

The original proposal also included approval for a 450-room hotel, 950 holiday apartments, 36 golf villas and 500 houses for sale. None of these elements, and the thousands of new jobs promised, have materialized so far -- and the golf resort has yet to turn a profit, racking up £13.3m in losses since it opened."

Comey just swung it to trump in 2016, whilst covering up his many investigations. He was new, the ultimate conman, only it's now fully exposed, he doesn't have the believers now.

Even now the faithful are trying to claim conspiracy theories as to why trumps primary results were poor.

I am currently. It's actually really good - nice find
It really impressed me in terms of structure and content.

The clickable links at the start are like shortcuts to answer almost every single "but Trump will...." question you might have.

Questions we only have because the breathless media reporting hypes up his complaints to the court, and then totally ignores when the court smacks him down like an annoying toddler.
Agreed. I found myself only vaguely skim reading sections but really digesting sections that were relevant to lots of stuff - including discussions on here!!

I’m a little behind generally on the thread as rather a busy week wink

Paddy power has Trump ahead at Evens vs 5/4 for Biden.

I regret not sticking a few quid on Biden when the odds were longer a month back.

2.4 on Biden 1.9 on Trump according to the site I use occasionally

A quid on Biden gets you your stake and another £1.40 on top. Trump gets you your £1 stake back and 90p on top.

Not sure bookies are a good barometer of what’s likely to happen though, much more likely that they’re reacting to where the (stupid) money is flowing.

It is another GWest.

Interesting article on odds from eight years ago - one woman in north east England lost £180k on Clinton!

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/...

And some crazy odds for both Trump and Biden for anyone who put money on them up to four years ago, from the odds timeline halfway down this page:
